Hold the series lead against them while riding herd over LSU as well, you may want to look it up, baseball was not invented in 1990

LSU - Six (6) CWS Championships
MSU - Cero...Pernt...Cero.

I think Jake is from Texas as well. This will probably open doors with some Texas high school kids.

Jake Gautreau is a really nice hire for @HailStateBB — He was a strong assistant at #Tulane, now doing well w/ Boras Corp

This could be a very big deal, if Gautreau stays well connected at Boras

Great place to raise a family. If your a city yuppy it might not be your place but if you enjoying the outdoors, cooking out, being around good people, family friendly activities, etc then it's a very nice place to be.
Great Post. Cracks me up when internet dorks bash some college town because it's not NYC/Chicacgo/Los Angeles as if these college sports coaches are wanting to dine at a different restaurant every night of the week, take in musicl theatre productions, attend art gallery openings, check out live music or stand-up 2-3 nights a week or need to uber around everywhere.
They're coaches. They work all the time and spend what little free time with their family for the most part. They aren't like a bunch of a millennial hipsters or pretentious yuppies who need all kinds of cultural events to attend.

Hmmm. TOPS was instituted in 1997 I believe. It was actually 1998 but some kids I graduated with qualified retroactively. TOPS was around in 1989 but it was strictly for low income families earning <$25,000.00. The expansion of eligibility for every child meeting academic criteria and removal of income requirements didn't occur until 1998 (with 1997 grandfathering).
LSU won CWS National Championships in 1991, 1993, 1996 and 1997. All of which predate the use of TOPS as a potential in-state inducement. So what was your lame arse excuse for sucking hind tit all those years we won rings, bitch?

I'm not going to engage in a back-and-forth with garbage like you, but the system is flawed when you have schools using programs like TOPS and Vandy's circumstances to acquire talent in numbers other SEC schools can't offer. Lsu's recruiting strategy is to get the instate players on TOPS and use the 11.5 on out-of-state talent.

So because a kid is smart works hard in school and gets an academic scholarship, but also plays baseball he shouldn't be able to get an academic scholly?

Works hard? You have too pretty dumb not to qualify to be a TOPS recipient. Vandy's program was set up to provide gifted students from meager parental resources an opportunity to afford Vandy's high tuition, not baseball talent. Hello loophole.
