State is resilient. Should’ve hosted it that’s life. We won a National title without one game in Oxford. So no excuses. We are all counting on you.

State fans, do yall regret the midweek game vs 276th RPI North Alabama? That might have been the nail in the coffin RPI wise.
I’m glad the committee didn’t get tricked by Indiana St’s road tour that turbo boosts their RPI.
IMO Duke has the biggest case of getting screwed. They won the ACC Tourney, has series wins over Wake & UVA, and ended up with a 13-12 Q1 record.
Wake’s resume was worse than State or Duke so it’s hard to say they got screwed, but they’re scary AF. I won’t no part of them until Omaha.

Arizona doesn't really bother me like it should. They won the Pac 12 and the Pac 12 Tournament. 31 RPI is almost a 3 seed though.

One great feather in the cap, also noteworthy that all but one of those wins came in SEC play. Here's a possible counter to it. Too many Quad 4 losses, all at home.
Mississippi State - 5. Maybe dropping two of them to Austin Peay cost ya.
Compared to say, my UC Santa Barbara Gauchos (hosting) - 1. The bottom third of the Big West was riddled with land mines and we avoided them all.
Road record MSU 8-9 (only two true road games ooc), UCSB 16-12 (13 true road games ooc, 10 in a row to start the season)

UCSB nonconference RPI 37, SOS 127
Obviously you can't control your league schedule, and the SEC is much stronger top to bottom than the Big West. But you do have some control over who you play ooc - and where

MS State deserved it over Georgia, that much is certain. We even owned the conference series against them and actually advanced in the SEC tournament. The sports media just had a hard-on for them this season and kept pushing them.
Oh well, the hosts have been named so our best option is to win our designated regional to make the Supers.
