Is that a 100% for sure thing? If so, your offense just took a major step forward.

He has 1 year to play and can play immediately. He was Moorhead's #2 at Penn St and narrow lost out to Trace McSorley as a freshman. He knows the plays... and his father stated he will go where he can start.

Edit..

Hearing that it is all but done and announcement coming. Steven's has already started following a lot of ms st players etc.

Also (trying to verify), team already knows and all is well.

2 things make him better. His passing and he knows the system Moorhead runs.

Thompson isn't a 50% passer. Stevens is faster too. He's what 6'5" 240...

I'm asking you.

100% certain he has entered the transfer portal.

100% has contacted Ms ST

100% certain his father stated he is only going to go where he will start.

Those are the for sure things. An NFL insider stated he is heading to Ms St. That's why I'm asking if it is a for sure thing.

Do you have a link to the NFL insider saying this? This would change my guess of 5 wins to maybe 7 if it happens so I could possibly shite my pants

Who knows that exactly? He's thrown 41 passes in his entire career at under 60%.

And Thompson has been with Moorhead for 2 full off-seasons and a 1 full season now. He should be pretty engrained with this system. Not to mention this is happening because Stevens couldn't clearly beat out a sophomore.

I'm not saying he won't be an upgrade or a decent QB, but from what I've seen live and read he certainly isn't a massive upgrade or game changer.

Thompson can not throw a football. Honestly would rather see us run a GA Tech triple option than him throw a single pass all season. He might know the system but that doesn’t mean he can execute worth a damn

Is he referring to PFTs dog?

Anyways I do believe there is a greater than 50% chance he ends up here from what I've heard the past year.

Also to add Stevens will have more success with this offense than KT will.

He has NEVER approached 60%... has never broken 50%

LINK

48% in 2017
46% in 2018.

That's less than Stevens. Stevens played a major role in the Moorhead offense there. He is a known player by Moorhead.

And no.. that's not the story on Stevens. He missed the spring due to injury.

Does it really matter who's the QB if don't have a receiver that can catch the ball

Not really true though. You can increase the odds with an accurate passer.

Would you rather have a QB that puts it in your hands 50% of the time knowing you will drop 10% or a QB who will put it in your hands 75% knowing you will drop 10%.

I was talking about Tommy Stevens, not Thompson.

But yes you are correct Thompson has shown serious accuracy issues.
