No buddy , I'm serious. If moving the office out of Birmingham will calm down some of the unmitigated Bama hatred, then I'm all for it. Move the damn thing today.

AMEN!!
Who gives a frick where the SEC office is located. If you fricking idiots that are always hunting an excuse for why you got you asses stomped by Alabama would shut the frick up, I'd get a truck and move them myself!

I believe you can't have it where a SEC team is located.

1.) Atlanta
2.) Memphis
3.) Charleston

Birmingham does not have a SEC school, either.

Why did Bernie Moore hate LSU so much to move the SEC offices to Birmingham?

Who would object to this?

I would imagine the people who work in the offices and have built their lives in Birmingham. They should all move just move(take their kids out of school change their church, hire movers, etc...) to satisfy your paranoia? Funny thing is that is was moved to Birmingham when a LSU alumn was in charge and it is well documented that is was his idea to make it centrally located.
OK, let me get this straight. You guys think the SEC offices are corrupt and take money from Alabama to fix games? And you guys think the solution is to simply change the location of the offices. If you guys are right, and the people in the offices are corrupt, would the solution not be to change the people and not the location? Is it not just as easy to transfer money from T-Town to Nashville as it from T-Town to Birmingham? Not only are the arguments founded in ignorance and based on pure bullshite, but the solution you guys propose would not even solve the made up problem. I have news for you people, the SEC employees are not the biased ones, you guys are.

I believe the actual centerpoint of the SEC is now somewhere around Columbus, MS

So it's either Columbus, or let Tupelo and Meridian fight their way into the mix.

I vote Tupelo.

And you think the solution is to move the offices? Would it not be removing the corrupt people?

Its the actual geographical center of the SEC

quote:

Geo midpoint of new SEC is just south of Haleyville, Ala.

Center of minimum distance is Nauvoo.

Geo midpoint of SEC West is just north of Yazoo City, Miss.

Center of minimum distance is Starkville, Miss.

Geo midpoint of SEC East is just north of Cleveland, Tenn.

Center of minimum distance is Friendsville, Tenn.

prior to expansion
quote:

Using midpoint: just south of Blountsville, Ala.

Using center of minimum distance: I-65 in Alabama near the Smoke Rise exit

Using average latitude/longtide: south of Blountsville

Geo midpoint of SEC West was French Camp, Miss.

Center of minimum distance was Starkville, Miss.

Geo midpoint of SEC East was Cleveland, Ga.

Center of minimum distance was Hayesville, Tenn.
