They have to win 3 more titles to tell UK to move over.

They have a good argument. But UCONN Women's Basketball is the true royalty. 11 National Championships says so.

UofCT has not made it past the 2nd Rd of the NCAAT in 5 of their last 10 appearances - 3 first round losses - they are a feast or famine NCAAT program -

Hurley himself has 2 first round losses in the 4 NCAATs he's coached UofCT -

Villanova with their two recent NCAAT titles - has an all-time winning record over Connecticut - too - still -

They are getting very, very close to blue blood status. I agree.

UCONN makes it out of the 2nd round 5/10 times. That's actually a pretty good mark in their favor

They are already there.

There is no close about it.

I will say I am impressed with Uconns winning percentage once they get to a final four. They either get beat early or win it all.

UConn has won as many titles since 1999 as Kentucky has since 1951.

Kentucky, North Carolina, Duke, Kansas, UCLA

That's traditionally been the 5 blue bloods of college basketball. It's not easy to arrive as a true blue blood in a sport... and it takes a lot of years of sucking to lose the status. In football, Miami never reached it despite some great years and Nebraska is close to losing it, if they haven't already.

But in basketball, I think you have to leap UConn over the likes of Indiana and make them the sixth blue blood now when looking at the totality of their success.

not in Lexington KY - maybe in CT -

Connecticut is a New Blood - they will never have the decades of history to join the Blue Bloods of CBB -

Blue Bloods can only fall out of that fraternity - see Indiana - and arguably UCLA at this point -

Kentucky Duke N Carolina Kansas are the 4 still with a stronghold on the moniker -

Western Kentucky & Murray State have a better all-time win % than Connecticut -

No one cares about titles from the 40s and 50s, basketball was still a niche sport then. UConn is a blue blood, and the most dominant program of the modern era
