D-oh! Sunday’s episode of the long-running Fox animated sitcom “The Simpsons” poked a little fun at the University of South Carolina with a little help from characters Homer and second-grader Lisa.
After Lisa begs her father to send her to preparatory school, Homer replies: “When it’s time for college, I promise, my darling daughter, to send you to the finest college there is (long pause) in South Carolina.”
“I will not be a Gamecock!” Lisa exclaims as she grips the preparatory school’s fence.
“You will, too!” Homer replies.

Michelle Moynihan was so attractive in that movie.
By far the most random Alabama reference was from a SNL skit when Kate Hudson hosted. It was a pretty funny with Kate Hudson as the daughter at home from college for the weekend. She was wearing a grey Alabama shirt with crimson letters. Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon are the father and mother. A 48 hours special about partying came on and Kaye Hudson was on it hammered and out of control with guys doing shots off her belly button. The show goes to commercial and a Girls Gone Wild video comes on and again Kate Hudson is on there drunk and showing her tits.
The whole time Kate Hudson's character sits quietly on the couch in her Alabama shirt.
Oh, and there was even a funny Mardi Gras reference in the skit. After Kate Hudson's character is seen in embarrassing situations on 48 Hours, Girls Gone Wild, and Cops, another episode of Cops shows her mother (Molly Shannon) drunk and out of control on Bourbon Street.

Amazingly I remember that exchange and I hardly ever watch the classic movies. I just happened to watch about 20 minutes of the original Oceans Eleven and saw that exchange.
