That was 78 points in an era where football games were decided by scores like 9-6

The rules started to change shortly after that. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, those scores were not unusual. Cumberland lost to Georgia Tech 222-0 in 1916.

Little before my time, but jusst how I feel. 2 world wars and rampant cheating. I respect the history but I also understand that there's far to much crap going on to really reference it or even brag about it.

the game was almost 100 years ago. I mean seriously time to get over it and laugh. At least it our most points given up weren't to Vanderbilt.... blah blah they used to not suck blah blah...it's still vandy.

I believe I remember reading that, since that game in 1906, Alabama hasn't allowed a team to score 50 points or more on them (that's excluding the overtime game with Tennessee in 2003). The score was tied at like 17 at the end of regulation. The final was 51-43.

Nope, just Arkansas.

It was USC's largest point total in history.

USC beat Wazzu 69-0 in 2008 and Montana 69-0 in 1931.

When USC scored 70 points on Arkie in '05 - the most points scored on Arkansas that year by an SEC team was 34 points (Auburn) - and when USC scored 50 on Arkie the next year - the most points scored on Arkansas by an SEC team that year was 38 points (Florida.)
