Agreed on Hurd and Dobbs. One name I will add is Cam Robinson. He had a disappointing sophomore season IMO. Really struggles in pass protection against good edge rushers. Reminds me of Cyrus K. He's good but not yet in the same category as a Laremy Tunsil or Andre Smith.

Kelly is a system QB. OM, State, A&M will always find a way to make a QB play at their ceiling.

That being said, I see no reason to say he's overrated for playing in a system that highlights him. He's doing a great job doing what he's supposed to do.

Derrick Henry. Carrying it 45 times for 175 yards all the time just isn't that impressive. Deserved to finish 3rd in the Heisman voting behind Watson and McCaffrey

The charges were dropped, so you can quit bad-mouthing him now. Didn't you get the memo?

Expect blowback... people around here (not me) think he is the most prolific passer in SEC history

Dobbs is overrated by some people. I don't think his running ability makes up for his wild inaccuracy and I am afraid it will cost Tennessee this season.

Hurd is not overrated. Nobody I have ever seen has said he was better than Fournette but that guy is a freak of nature. As for Chubb, the dude was in the Heisman conversation so even if he is not quite as good it doesn't mean he isn't really good. Honestly, I think all around Hurd does a lot of things better than either of those two guys.

Myles Garrett is really, really good. And every offense he faces doubles teams, holds and gameplans to deal with him.

I agree his accuracy is suspect, but I wouldn't call him "wildly inaccurate", he did have a 3:1 TD:INT ratio, wildly inaccurate QBs don't do that.

Fournette gets my vote. This player is discussed with Herschel and Bo and he's not remotely in that class. Now he COULD be with the tools he has but hasn't shown it. Lots of yds against Aubie and A&M, meh, most backs do. He gets yds against crappy teams but when the big boys cone to town he goes tippy toe. He has the tools to carry his team but hasn't. LSU o line is part of that. They need some serious work this fall.

I hate to say it but I think it's Fournette. I really like the kid and I think he's a good back but I've seen LSU fans describe him as "legendary". That's absurd. He racks up a lot of yards against bad defenses but doesn't bring it against the big boys. With that being said I think he will have a great year this season and will be a Heisman finalist.

By "Big Boys" I'm assuming all the Alabama fans are talking about, shocker, Alabama.

That's the only bad game he had all season.

That is just patently false. He had 9 of 12 games of over 150 yards. He averaged 6.5 ypc over the whole season.

He had one objectively bad game against a gameplan designed specifically to stop him with the personnel uniquely equipped to do so.

Neal is way overrated. Arden Key is overrated, Godchaux is overratted. Pretty much the entire LSU front 7 is pedestrian oustide of Beckwith. LSU easily had the softest front 7 in the west outside of A&M. They have not had an impact in the interior since Brockers left. They are delusional about their front 7, eventhough they were blown off the ball by teams that run the ball.

You're about half right.
1. Beckwith is overrated. He's good, not great.
2. Godchaux is rated about right - second or third team All-SEC
3. Neal? I need to see another year. he disappeared at the end of last year. He's probably overrated.
4. Key? Dude, he's not overrated. Key is a superstar.
