Starting off by saying that most rational and intelligent State fans don't actually believe the following but there is a small group of crazies that believe it to this day.
The story goes that back when Sherrill was still at State and the NCAA began to investigate them, there was a rumor that Ole Miss was behind it all. Allegedly there was a female booster of ours who slept with an "agent" of the NCAA and got him to investigate MSU at the time which led to the downfall of Sherrill's MSU.

Eric Dickerson accusing Arkansas of offering pay for play when he drove a gold Trans Am to SMU paid for by aggy boosters.
That and Arkansas was like the only SWC football program not caught cheating in the 70s-80s.

Well that's just ludicrous. Only 95% of y'all are farmers. The other 5% are engineers building the barns for the cattle.
