Clemson sucks
People trying to minimize this win by saying "Clemson sucks" are being completely disingenuous. Regardless of your opinion on Dabo, look at how Clemson actually compares to the rest of the country talent-wise.
According to the 247Sports Team Talent Composite, Clemson is the No. 16 most talented team in the entire country and No. 2 in the ACC.
Their roster features:
* 4 Five-Stars
* 32 Four-Stars
* 48 Three-Stars
This isn't some directional school. This is a top-20 blue-chip roster, and LSU completely dismantled them 51-10, racking up 644 yards of offense. Dropping 51 points on those guys makes it arguably the most impressive statement win of opening weekend.
But it wasn't just LSU's offense that dominated—the defense completely smothered Clemson from start to finish. LSU held Clemson to a pathetic 145 total yards of offense, completely erased their ground game by allowing just 40 rushing yards, and forced 4 sacks. More importantly, LSU held Clemson to an abysmal 1-for-13 on 3rd downs and had a pick 6. At one point in the second half, LSU literally had more touchdowns than Clemson had first downs.
Let's see if LSU can maintain this momentum, but don't move the goalposts on how big of a beatdown this actually was.

First time I have agree with you

LSU was great last night. Clemson pretty much gets dragged by any top 15ish opponent these days. Both of the above can be true.

This is some serious cope, but I'd be saying the same.

Not trying to minimize your win because it was way better than ours but even with all that talent, Clemson is a power in name value alone.

can't disagree about LSU, but Georgia looked more physical than anyone else.
I agree. Even the third team was kicking the shite people.

Did any other top 10 team give up over 350 yds and 18 first downs to a rent a win?
Boom got Boomed
Texas state had a top 5 offense last year. Their QB and skill players are actually pretty good.
Your dumb shite arse doesn't recognize they returned a QB who had more than 4,000 yards of offense and 2 1,000 yard receivers.
You as a school have 6 ever 1,000 yard receiving seasons.
Texas State has a proven QB and WRs, and their short, quick passes moved the chains and took up time, but they only scored once.
Texas also plays another P4, Ohio State, this week.
Boom's D yesterday was as plain vanilla as it gets. No blitzes, no stunts, just line up and play. They still caused 3 turnovers, including a TD.
Texas ran 1 trick play yesterday, an end around for a TD. They used 50+ players in the 1st half, and 80+ for the game.

Both of you are stating facts. But his facts are relevant to your teams performance while yours are relevant only to perception not this years performance.
Refute what he said with facts about this years team. If you can. Otherwise your argument is weak and irrelevant.

I think Texas played a great game and wasn’t concerned with much as far as schemes. They just were seeing who could do what. It’s impossible to judge a team on that when they are really in “pre season” mode.
Any Aggie stating otherwise is stupid.

Kirby on a mission to reclaim his throne. He is the complete opposite of Dabo; his teams will stomp a mudhole and walk it dry. No let up.

Florida hung 66 on a good FAU team. FAU would beat Arky, Mizzou and Barn

If only there was a common opponent Mo st and Tex State played last year that could validate y’all excuses for giving up conference USA level yds…..

Dabo has abdicated his team management responsibility in this era of NIL and the portal.
He doesn't like it.
Hell, I know a lot of people who don't like it, me included.
That's the cards he has been dealt....he can't justify taking that salary and not participating.
He needs to resign and go be a television preacher.
