JoePa is the scapegoat for the Sandusky situation, not sure what else he could have realistically done.
And I'll get some emotional downvotes for this but just remember, you have the benefit of hindsight. He didn't.

Paterno was told about several disturbing incidents, did nothing, and did not care. Google the deposition testimony of victims who reported Sandusky to Paterno.
