You must have been in a coma in March. Glad you're doing better now.

The "Iron Bowl" was the biggest game in CFB when it was played in Birmingham with the crowd virtually 50/50 between schools. Birmingham was electric the entire week of the game with fans of both schools planning their annual vacations for the game. Bars and restaurants were packed with fans of both schools.
Since the home and home series began, the game has declined in excitement and meaning.

I don't think it's there yet but the series does have potential. There's a history there but the teams went such a long time without playing, it wasn't much of a thought and it took Aggie a few years to get a win on the board. But last years game escalated things.

But this is series that feels primed to blow up over say..the next 10 years or so. With Aggie no longer playing Texas, this feels like the most natural conference rivalry for each team moving forward.

Growing up in Alabama, we followed both teams avidly. My entire family were Bama fans so naturally I chose Auburn.
As teenagers my brother and I would hitchhike to Birmingham to see the games. We would save money for months to buy a ticket from a scalper. In the 1960s we paid as much as $3 for a ticket. Big money for us. Now, I don't go even when my son-in-law offers me a free ticket to go with him.

That's Arkansas fans vs Arkansas fans - we have people who were on the fire Van Horn wagon while simultaneously saying keep Mike. We also have the most even split of libs/cons on PT.

1. LSU Texas A&M- I will admit it has been absolutely fascinating to watch this rivarly unfold. With Houston being a big alumni hub for both teams, this makes a lot of sense tho. As well as the history between the 2 before A&M joined the SEC. LSU getting A&Ms AD has put this as one of the top rivalries in the SEC RN.

Are you trolling or just an idiot? That is nowhere near the top of the list of rivalries in the SEC

Maybe to A&M its a rivalry, those cucks finally beat us for once now their all riled up. Florida is a bigger/more toxic rivalry for us right now

I know baseball takes patience, and it’s not all fast and explosioney like a Michael Bay movie, but you should try it sometime. Auburn actually wins some games these days.

This does not. This isn't even close to the other 2.

Well....

That's not really true.

First meeting -- 1899

Number of meetings -- 57

The Iron Bowl was not played for 40 years and Florida-Georgia didn't start until 1904.

that's tame and should never be on a "most heated rivalry" list.

It's not really a "rivalry" as far as I am concerned. It's more of an enemy/enemy relationship. You want to beat your rival and talk trash to them. We don't want anything to do with the fricking longhorns but to stop their repeated attempts to destroy our school in the legislature.

LSU does not consider you a rivalry

we get wound up now and again for revenge but would never give faggie credibility of being a rival

btw i learned to hate faggie in the sixties when i watched a family friend listen to the game on the radio and constantly bashed the tigers

but that does not make a rivlry

Maybe not. But, he was saying that the others had decades and decades of history.

So does A&M v. LSU.

That was the only point I was addressing.

Annual CBS prime time, LSU-Bama isn’t in the top 5. One team has to beat the other more than once in the last nine attempts and the losing team also can’t have back-to-back retards at head coach during that streak.
