Most Fiery Rivalries in the SEC RN

Must be conference vs conference so A&M/Texas or SC vs Clemson does not count.
5. Iron Bowl- I am putting it on here simply because of history. But at this point in time, it really feels like its as mild as its been.
4. Kentucky- Tennessee- honestly in all sports this has been a good one this season. The basketball matchups, the baseball series, and the football upset have all been fun. I was close to putting Vanderbilt-UTK on this list instead, but then I felt like I would be disrespecting Vandy since a rivalry needs to be competitive and the state of Tennessee is Vandy rn.
3. Egg Bowl- A year ago this is #1. But time heals wounds and this rivalry has cooled off a bit. Simply because it could not get any more intense. True the implications are not as high usually, but the one thing I can say about this rivalry that I do not think I can say for any other on this list, it is literally an all sports rivalry. How many other rivalries go from September to June essentially(year round for you trash talkers in the offseason)?
2. Florida-Georgia- The back and forths on the spring games have been fun. Plus a Dan Mullen(OC for Urban Meyer) and Kirby Smart(DC for Nick Saban) rivalry feels like the must watch game of the SEC year in and year out.
1. LSU Texas A&M- I will admit it has been absolutely fascinating to watch this rivarly unfold. With Houston being a big alumni hub for both teams, this makes a lot of sense tho. As well as the history between the 2 before A&M joined the SEC. LSU getting A&Ms AD has put this as one of the top rivalries in the SEC RN.
If you thought this list was shite. Just remember, people are actually paid to do shite like this in the offseason.

This makes zero sense.
Vandy/Tennessee is dead even across the 3 sports while VOLS/UK has been a bloodbath across all 3.

These two have decades and decades of history.

This does not. This isn't even close to the other 2.

The level of trolling on tRant is awful.

Iron bowl is, and always will be the most heated rivalry in SEC and all of college football. They kill trees and girlfriends. It’s true hate
How you pegged that at #5 is bewildering...

UF/UGA and Alabama/Auburn are the two premier rivalries in the conference, hands down.

Ole Miss sucks and I will never go to the egg bowl in oxford again. It is either rainy and cold and I'm surrounded by drunks and people jacked up on hard drugs that throw sticky sodas or good weather and i'm still stuck surrounded by their belligerent fans. That place is the armpit of Mississippi dressed with some fancy deodorant that wears off after an hour. The dollar amount to get me to go to the egg bowl in oxford is in the 6 figures.

I've been to the Egg Bowl in Oxford twice. I'm 2-0 there. Not sure if I'll go back either simply because I don't want to ruin that record

that's tame and should never be on a "most heated rivalry" list.

The Iron Bowl was discontinued for many years for a reason

What an absolute trash list. I'm embarrassed for you OP.

Just pointing out there's been a game that has been spotlighted as the one CBS primetime game aired every year for nearly a decade.
Same two teams, every year.

If this is based solely off the commentary on this site, then LSU-A&M is first and It isnt close. Nationally it isnt, but on this website, stealing an AD creates an epic meltdown

Well, there are rivalries in their historic and true sense, and then there are rivalries on tRant.
As it goes for rant rivalries these are the top 5 I see today (aggressors in bold:
1) everybody vs LSU & Will Wade - poor tigahs
2) LSU vs A&M - shite is flying from both sides since 74-72
3) UGA vs pretty much anyone who's won the national championship since Carter was in office -
4) Arkansas vs. Anybody who will listen - Anyone responding to any thread posted by any Hog may give a fleeting signal that they may still be relevant in something somehow somewhere
5) MSU vs The 11 people on this board who give fricks about baseball other than a passing sport waiting on football to kick off
