SOS has never given a crap what people think about him and the ground rules he laid down with South Carolina were hilarious...I'm gonna golf as much as I want, recruit when I feel like it, and as of late, not guarantee I'll be completely sober for interviews.
Les is easily #2 though, he needs no booze to be wildly off the wall at times though it's a calculated perception on his part he chooses to portray.

Well, frick him for running down college football and their fans. While I agree that we do go overboard on the subject, I think most of us realize CFB is insignificant in the big picture, but it is he who earned a paycheck for this article and his criteria, huh?

The only thing I don't really understand is why Malzahn has the same amount of points for wins that Saban does, and more than Miles does. I understand Malzahn took over a Gene Chizik team and led them to the title game, but Saban has clearly done more so far. Only other complaint is that I find Muschamp entertaining. What he puts on the field can be pretty abysmal on offense, but that defense plays hard and he is a pretty crazy person himself.

I read it, I just think his criteria is stupid.
Yep. What's the point of making an entertaining list of coaches and making wins part of the criteria? Win/loss has nothing to do with their entertainment. What a dolt.
1a OBC
1b Les
The rest.

If he said team entertainment then used wins, coach personality and so then yea, but as far as entertaining coach wins shouldn't factor in as that's a team effort.
ETA: Misunderstood, took out unneeded substance.

For people complaining...afaict, the ranks are a synthesis of personal ability to be entertaining and the entertainment factor of watching their teams. The Mad Hatter, for instance, doesn't run the high-octane offenses that Sumlin and Malzahn run, even though his occasional inspired calls and total fricking brain farts on the field can be entertaining. So I think 4th is fair by their criteria. Though I think their criteria are messed up. I tend to think people who worship at the altar of fast offenses and mediocre defenses are mostly teenagers and casual fans who can't appreciate good intelligent football on both sides of the ball.

How is Muschamp not higher, he always looks about 3 plays from pulling a Woody Hayes and laying out someone (though unlike Woody, Boom would probably take out one of his own).

The losses are often times where the entertaining part comes into play...

Did anyone read the OP? Gus' on field performance is what trumps the others. Gus' offense is entertaining
So this isn't really a most entertaining coach list. It's a most entertaining and successful team and coach combination.

Muschamp should be #3 for this alone:

Les Miles should be higher, mainly because of his gaffs, which are always entertaining.
Saban should be lower, like last on the list, he manages to find a way to suck all entertainment and joy out of life.

I think Miles himself is entertaining and he's won a lot of games at LSU. But watching his offenses in a lot of those was like watching paint dry. Even with Cameron last year, you could tell Miles put his hands in the game plan at various points and the offense was not entertaining to watch when that happened.
This is not a "Miles is an idiot" post, just a "Miles is as conservative as Bo Schembechler on offense most of the time" post.
