I’m pretty sure the Birmingham bowl was created to shame teams rather than reward them

My family drove to Shreveport on Christmas Day once. Honestly don't even remember if we won. Shreveport sucks

The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl played on Boise State's puke blue
turf between BYU (49) & Western Michigan (18) tonight
was God awfully depressing---at least the 10-minutes or so
I gave it before fleeing.

Went to the Birmingham Bowl for a half- had a family thing and left early,

Legion Field . . . OMG. It is a total embarrassment to Birmingham. Everything peeling, rusty, and about 30 years past it’s prime. The venue looked second rate, with homemade signs over the consessions and the food vendors just inside the gate. The parking lots were overrun with police, so it was relatively safe, with enough parking at the stadium to avoid parking on the side streets.

I’ll be glad when the new stadium is built and this thing is demolished.

Most depressing? The game wasn’t, but the stadium was.
