While the Vols sit this one out, I will participate in this bowl season as a curious onlooker.
This is my submission for this season's most depressing bowl game:

Terrible Jared ads, Legion Field is crumbling and not in a nice area, won't even be very warm, 11am kickoff I think
Wake Forest is 6-6 in the ACC with a loss to Florida State. Memphis lost both of their coordinators and their best player is sitting out the game.

The worst Bowl is the one your team doesn’t get to attend. 15-plus additional practices are invaluable to a team.

I had a pretty good time at the Independence Bowl after Saban’s first year. Maybe because I knew better times were just ahead. That aside, while some areas of Shreveport are a shite hole, much like Birmingham, the downtown area with the casinos and the boardwalk on the Bossier City side is pretty cool.
