Damn, son. You might off yourself if Trump and LSU both win it all in 2020

I was just trying to say to the poster I responded to that it's better to use more than just offense (in this case just total 40+ pt games) to determine which team is in contention for greatest

It would be if OP actually made that claim.

Where does it say anything about "greatest offense" or even "offense" at all?

Its simply a list of most 40+ games in a single season.

I agree, LSU (much like bama) had a lot of injuries to deal with and really didn't get healthy until the SECCG.

LSU held UGA(10-season avg 31), Oklahoma(28-season avg 42) and Clemson(25-season avg 44) well below their scoring average when championship level CFB began.

UGA only scored 20 in overtime vs USCe.
Not surprised you don’t have the intelligence to realize I was kidding.

A much better stat is how many shutouts or 1 score games. There are so many ways to score, that to hold any team to a low point total is the true test.

Better look,

09, 11, 12, 15, 17 National titles

but then only one team can say that.

That isnt true at all.

If you average 48 points a game, you're going to win most games unless your defense is complete dog shite.

re-read your statement.

a team can NOT win if they can not score.

I like that idea.

We have a long offseason, brother, but we’ll load that one into the pipeline.

It doesnt matter if an offense is truly great. You cant stop a "great" offense.

Again, if your offense is great as opposed to good, it doesn't matter.

Your defense just has to be decent.

How many national title winners had an average defense, and I mean all-time?

Please define “good”, because I’m pretty sure 11-2 and 14-1 aren’t bad records.
