Not giving up a record for points scored against you 3 different times in the same calendar year.

Please define “good”, because I’m pretty sure 11-2 and 14-1 aren’t bad records.

Those are great records for any other program than Bama but like yall constantly remind us, yall are on another level.

Also, just besides the records, we've saw Saban teams looking very uncharacteristic of a Saban team in that time.

Texas was a good offense and Vandy only scored 24 on offense.

That was a mid day game on the road with multiple starters out, LSU sleepwalked thru that game and still won by 28.

Yes and notice how the total irrelevant non-competitive crap teams couldn’t even score 10 on you. That must suck. Utah St , NW State, aggy, all irrelevant.

Not fair calling the Aggies irrelevant. They just had a QB go in the 1st round to be groomed by Aaron Rodgers.

I’m confused, I thought 2001 Miami was the GrEaTeSt TeaM eVeR?

That one metric above - 40 pt games doesn't tell the entire story

In modern day CFB with both Teams playing Tempo on Offense and using variations of hurry-up, no huddle concepts, then you have both Teams with more possessions, combined with NFL Style rules that ARTIFICIALLY PROTECT QBs & WRs, then you have more scoring, that increased scoring doesn't mean that the 2019 Talent you're hanging your hat on is actually better than the Talent from 2001 Miami or 1995 Nebraska

Imagine a game played by 2001 Rules with no targeting calls and allow LSU's WRs have to worry about 6-3 230lb Sean Taylor roaming the 2ndary along with his running mate Ed Reed, that's 2 Hall of Famers in the same 2ndary, not College HoF, but NFL HoF

Go to YouTube and search for Sean Taylor, biggest hits at Miami and see for yourself

The best way to compare "best ever" Teams is to imagine them under the same rules and with the same access to modern medicine and modern training methods, then you can theorize who's the best ever

LMAO. Dick riding the Huskers.

Nebraska did have the most violent woman abuser on it’s team. (defended by Saint Tom Osborne)

quote:

Phillips broke into backup quarterback Scott Frost's apartment by climbing the outside of the building to the third floor and entering through some sliding doors. He then assaulted his ex-girlfriend, basketball player Kate McEwen. Phillips dragged McEwen out of the apartment by the hair and down three flights of stairs before smashing her head into a mailbox.

I’m well old enough to remember Sean Taylor, thank you.

This hurts your case, rather than helps it. Today’s players...on the same field under the same rules...are far ahead of the players from 20 years ago.

And stop basing college arguments on past teams’ pro accomplishments. You have no idea where the LSU players will end up in the pros. If you want to evaluate using the same rules, how about we evaluate only based on college years too.

Even Nebraska and Miami fans agree that 2019 LSU is the GOAT! It is only the dumbasses on the rant that spout this nonsense

And no Bana team is in the realm of '95 Nebraska or '19 LSU. Just the facts.

2013 A&M - 11 games with 40+ / 13 games played = 85%

2019 LSU - 12 games with 40+ / 15 games played = 80%

Why would an LSU fan brag about this stat?

Missinng data, How many teams were ranked in the top 10 when they played? Go back to the stats and let us know in a few days.

Let’s compare 2001 Miami to 2019 LSU:
Miami played one top 10 ranked team the entire season and won by 3 points in the national championship game (34-31). Worst wins: A 2 point (26-24) win over then 14th ranked Va. Tech (final rank 18) and an 18-7 win over unranked BC (final rank 21). During the season, only played 4 ranked teams when played (15, 13, 11, 4). Based on final rankings, 1 top ten team, and 5 other top 25 teams ( Nos. 11,14, 18, 19 & 21).

2019 LSU
7 top ten teams when played. National championship margin of victory, 17 points against the then number one scoring defense in the country. Worst wins: 3 point victory over the then the number 9 team (final rank 13) and a 5 point win over the then number 2 ranked team (final rank 8). During the season, LSU beat 5 top final top 10 teams, including nos. 2, 4, 6, 7 & 8, plus the nos. 13 and 25.

Miami had a lot of talent, but LSU had the better season, and very arguably the better team based on the achievements of the season and the level of competition.

Texas finished #25 in one poll and unranked in the other.

Not sure why the discussion is about Miami instead of Nebraska though.
