OP has been working overtime to make sure he can spin out as many "tell us how great LSU is!" threads as possible over the last few days..

2001 Miami or 95 Nebraska is still the GOAT. Don't let the propaganda confuse you.

Someone seems extremely sensitive about informative stat threads meant to kickstart great discussions. Sad!

Not even in the same universe as ‘95 Nebraska.

If Georgia would've had enough offense to threaten LSU they would've scored 45.

2013 A&M - 11 games with 40+ / 13 games played = 85%

2019 LSU - 12 games with 40+ / 15 games played = 80%

Why would an LSU fan brag about this stat?

What’s missing is the fact they needed those 40 points because the D gave up a ton

UGA only scored 20 in overtime vs USCe.

Well that isn't true.

LSU scored an average of 48 points per game and gave up an average of 22 points per game in 2019.

LSU’s oft-maligned defense held the number 4 scoring team to 18.9 points below its average (Clemson, which was number 2 before playing LSU); the number 6 scoring team was held 14.1 points below its average (OU); while UGA and A&M were held to 20.8 and 22.9 points below their averages, respectively. Only 2 games were closer than 2 touchdowns.

So Texas A&M had the greatest SEC offense of all time? Weird claim, but okay.

% of games over 40 points:
Texas A&M 2013 - 84.6%
LSU 2019 - 80%

All time NCAA:
Texas 2005 - 92.3%
Florida St 2013 - 92.3%
Oregon 2014 - 92.3%
LSU 2019 - 80%

It would be if OP actually made that claim.

I don’t think Miami is the greatest but defense matters too. Their margin of victory was 32.9 compared to 26.5 for LSU. Nebraska’s was 38.7.

Who is bragging? It’s merely a list to discuss.

If we could have fielded a half way confident defense we’d have won another 11 or so games.

The problem I have with using margin of victory is , for anyone who is old enough to remember, those great Nebraska and Miami teams loved to run up the score.

I don't know how many LSU games you watched last year, there were many games when Coach O took the air out of the ball late in the third quarter.

LSU could have scored 70 or more in many games if he wanted to have a higher margin of victory.

Joey had only 6 of his 60 TDs and 52 of his 527 pass attempts in the 4th quarter all year.

If Texas A&M actually has the best offense maybe they would have gotten a 14th game.

Instead they lost 2 games when they scored 10 and 21 points.
