The last time Alabama wasn't a shite hole

Actually, Alabama is quite nice. White sand beaches to mountains and good friendly people all around.
Tennessee is quite nice as well. I like GA and SC too. I'm a salt water guy so I find Florida pretty cool.
I haven't been to the country in LA but I'm sure there must be nice spots here and there. I've had my fill of NOLA but it was cool the first 4 times.

This is why I don't understand why Bama fans think calling AU in Georgia is an insult

At least there was a time. Tennessee has always been a "shite hole".

It's nothing to do with Georgia specifically. It's more about the fact that people have genuinely mistakenly claimed that Auburn was in Georgia in the past, the implication being that nobody cares enough about Auburn to even know where it is.

Man, Tennessee is beautiful if there's no people in view.

To bad Knoxville is not in the mountains or it would be a great campus. East of Knoxville is very nice

Tennessee is the state that my GPS warned me to not get off of the interstate from. Literally just kept telling me to NOT get off the interstate when I moved from Oklahoma to Virginia.
Also? Dang your state is long.

The Gulf Coast "Foot" Alabama's Southern Border Alabama's Southern Gulf "foot"—the area south of the 31st parallel and west of the Perdido River—originated from the 1803 Louisiana Purchase, but its history dates back to 1719. At that time, France controlled Mobile Bay and Spain controlled Pensacola Bay just to the east. To resolve disputes over shipping rights and trade, the French commander at New Orleans and the Spanish commander at Pensacola agreed to recognize the Perdido River, a small stream halfway between Mobile and Pensacola, as the border between their respective jurisdictions. Some 80 years later, in 1803, shrewd American diplomats negotiating the Louisiana Purchase in Paris invoked this informal 1719 agreement as the precedent for setting the Perdido River as the eastern limit of the Louisiana Purchase. Because all of Florida east of the Perdido River remained in Spanish hands until 1819, Florida's panhandle region did not become part of Alabama. After Louisiana achieved statehood in 1812, Congress added the last eastern remnant of the Louisiana Purchase, between the Pearl River in present-day Mississippi and the Perdido rivers, to the Mississippi Territory. This "Addition of 1812" ultimately became the Gulf "foot" portions of Mississippi and Alabama.
