Duh.

Why is Saban stating the obvious? Does he really need 38-40 coaches under him?

FWIW, the norm is 12-20 depending on the program.

I'm not trolling in here. I corrected your misinterpretation of the OP.

They are very sensitive at the moment. We need to treat the little buggers with white gloves while they find more effective ways to cope with reality.

One loss and you call it turmoil?

Calm down, Nancy. That's how your beat writer presented it. However, with this as his banner pic I wouldn't trust anything he says or types.

It is quite possible that Saban has "lost the room". Before you feckless Gumps lose your shite and start melting uncontrollably, this is not an indictment of Saban, as much as it is an acknowledgement of human nature. These kids, the people in the program have now seen the ENTIRE Nick Saban Show a dozen times over and they've tuned it out. Coupled with the fact that the constant coaching changes and frantic processing of players, have given the entire program and specifically the locker room, a MERCENARY feel, there are going to be hurt feelings and dissension.

It was a good run, but everything comes to an end eventually. 16-44 was the proof you don't want to acknowledge . They quit in the first quarter. They tuned Tiny Nick out.

Yeah it's sad the way they quit on him. I thought they more respect for Nick

Sounds like Saban is begging Mississippi State to hire him as an off the field analyst

This is not the first time apathy has set in on the Tide. Saban knows how to get the players and coaches attention.

I wouldn’t sell my Saban stock just yet.

I mean is this Saban's most lopsided loss since he's been at Alabama

Starting to become more and more obvious that Saban is patterning Bobby Bowden and Joe Paterno as simply a walking figurehead on the sidelines, tuned out to the true inner working and dynamics of his own team.

Yep. Saban is sick of the lack of coaching and some laziness that set in on both some players and some coaches this past season. He's doing an overhaul, and it's not "turmoil". Saban is doing what needs to be done and I love it. Turmoil would be leaving things the same.

Saban's getting back to some old school stuff. I hope to see more familiar names on our coaching staff soon, and I know spring ball is going to be a terror. I tried telling some of you the loss is only going to light a fire under Saban, it's not going to end him.

He basically overhauled his entire staff in 2018, how the hell could those new coaches have gotten lazy their first year on the job?

Now players losing focus, letting all the hype permeate the roster and allowing some attitudes to fester over playing time or some coaches decisions on who gets Pt, etc. is understandable. But for a brand new coaching staff to get "lazy" with their youth, energy and enthusiasm? Seems strange to me.

I stand by my post. Most that are leaving are being told to leave. Saban is trying to bring back some guys who he's familiar with and know how to do things the right way.

Did he look in the mirror and tell himself to learn the basics of x's and o's and how to handle fakes. He can't handle teams with good talent and/or quality x and o coaches. That's all on him.

Explains why everyone is leaving.
