Bama plays 2 good SEC teams with a bye week before A&M and LSU. They should be double digit favorites for the rest of their games.
Partially agree but both of those good teams also have bye week before playing and are very capable of winning. Unless the wheels have come off of LSU there is no shame in losing to them and could hardly be considered underachieving, the same could be said for aTm, Manzeil is a hiesman winning qb

I personally think 2007 was Leslie's best coaching year. Lesticles was born and died after that year. Katrina year was good despite the idiot play calling at times ie tenn among others

Us and it would be surprising. Side note our wtf loss came against LSU and UF the both of which were ranked pretty damn highly if I remember correctly and both on the road which means A LOT. I wouldn't consider those to have been wtf losses.

It's funny that Miles is more accomplished in the SEC than BB was in a shite conference.

I know they have the same byes but those are Bama's only two games where Bama's opp can match or come close to Bama's talent. Honestly , Bama should go undefeated.

LSU beats Bama & A&M, loses to Ole Miss and UF.

First year this has happened under Spurrier. Remember in 2011 when USCe lost to Auburn @ home and the year before when they lost to Kentucky after beating Bama and so on and so forth
One year of respectable losses does not completely erase your history of frick-ups

I think USC is better prepared to step up and win more big games than they have lately and their schedule is more favorable than LSU's.
So I'll say USC even tho I think LSU has the talent to put it together if Cam and Mett mesh.

Yeah, but at least we do have A&M to bump it up. Shame the rest of the West won't help the SOS.

South Carolina. LSU has 2 national championships in the last 10 years and played for another. LSU winnings another championship would not be a surprise.

This isn't even a question- it's South Carolina by a country mile. They're the most pathetic program in SEC history.
They've been in a football conference for 70 years. They've won one conference championship. Read that again. 70 years of chances, 1 title. They've been in the SEC for two decades and haven't won it yet. They've only played for it once.
The year that they won their conference title in the ACC they were 7-4. Want to know how bad the rest of the ACC was that year? Not a single other ACC team ended the season with a winning record. The second place finisher, NC State finished 3-2-1 in conference and 3-6-1 overall.
The year that they won the East in 2010, they were the only eastern division team with a winning conference record. The East was terrible that year. The worst in a long, long time.
As you can see, the only times in 70 years that South Carolina has even had modest football success have been when every other team around them tanked. The likelihood that's going to happen this year is very, very low. Florida will be good, UGA will be good, and USC will fight it out with the rest of the East for 3rd place.

I think Carolina would be the biggest surprise. LSU has been there done that.
However, I do not think any SEC team even plays in the BCSNCG this year. Not that whoever wins the SEC would not be the best team in the country, I think they would be.
But I just think, with some of the other conferences being do down , that there may be 2-3 undefeated teams. And Zi just don't think a one loss SEC team gets in above a undefeated BIG, ACC, PAC, BXII, or Louisville.
OSU, LOUISVILLE, STANFORD, OREGON, FSU could all go undefeated, even though I think it's highly unlikely FSU does with playing UF.

Both would be shocking, but I'd much rather see the Gamecocks get theirs.

TAMU doesn't have a bye before the Bama game.

I am. And I know this is hard for USCe fans to understand, but you're not under anybody's skin.
Largely because you're an awful football program.

I would be more surprised by USC winning, but I've well prepared to be surprised this year. I think the team will do well and we'll find out over the next 5 months
