I remember on the way back from Dallas from the Cotton Bowl. I was going 90, a Lambo passed me like I was sitting still. A few miles up the road two police cars have the Lambo pulled over but it looked like they were just standing outside of the car with the owner having a casual conversation. Then 15 minutes later that same Lambo passed me again and I never saw them after that
corrupt cops
if it was a poor guy in a beatup pickup truck they'd have him cuffed like he's the unibomber

Craziest is Colorado, speed limit will be 70 on a steep mtn pass with no guard rails. Like Mont eagle on crack.
you are correct sir
spot on
people reading this wonder, "no guard rails?" and the answer is yeah, no fricking guard rails. Zero.

Every speed limit in Washington State and Oregon seems to be 60 mph and every local driver cruises at around 57 mph. Crazily annoying for a Texan trained driver,

I live in Arkansas now, and the drivers here are very slow. They also enforce mandatory court appearance and community service for 20 mph over the limit. It's insane. That being said, I speed virtually always, and I have just a couple of tickets in the last decade.

Oklahoma has too many potholes and construction takes forever. When Texas does any construction, they get that done fast.

They have plenty of cheap labor down there.

I have been making that trek since 1980, what would you like to know about it
An alternate route. That is the most frustrating stretch of road I have ever driven on. I have to make the drive from Birmingham to Fort Worth and back twice a year. Without fail, the stretch from Marshal to Terrell is the most frustrating. It is not possible to use cruise control. It is just one bottle neck after another. It doesn’t matter what the speed limit is when there is a seemingly limitless supply of semis in the right lane doing 77 and others in the left lane passing at 78.

Instead or most people cruising at 72-77 like most southeast states, there it is between 57-84
It’s a weird mixture of townies going 55 and city drivers going 80.
Agreed the drivers are shite in Texas.
Also they speed up when you try to switch lanes instead of using the zipper method that’s common in Cali.
