Unless Bama scores more than 68 points today, LSU will finish No. 1 in the SEC in scoring offense. Both overall and SEC only. Imagine how much we would have scored if we had a good offense.

And...Bama had the subs in at the beginning of the 4th against Arky.

Likely means overall schedule and against SEC opponents.

I just keep hearing how our weakness is our offense and I'd like someone to demonstrate actual evidence of this.

"SEC only" means points scored against SEC teams only.

Just goes to show how bad Gary Crowton really was.

Well the offense is the weakest part of LSU...

granted its an average offense so its not that big of a weakness.

The insecurity continues even after a 12-0 regular season and #1 ranking.

sure but they don't justify your offense being good. They prove special teams and defense are good.

We've got 2 special teams td's on the entire season. We've got about 4 defensive td's on the year.

Our offense pounds the sh** out of teams early on and by the 2nd half teams are helpless to stop it. Look at our second half stats for the year. We average about 1 punt per second half on the season.

I love LSU's offense. They're not flashy, but when they get into the second half they have the defense completely worn down. LSU just puts in a running back with fresh legs in at this point and runs all over them. It's just old school smashmouth football, which is different from most offenses today that sling it all over the field.

This! The offense by design bludgeons the opposition into submission and imposes its will through physical superiority. Not fancy but effective and the results speak for itself.

Great ball security and controlling the clock and overall game, I wouldn't swap this offense for any in the country. Other teams can play arena/flag football bullshite all they want, lsu will just beat you down and win the most important stat.......final score!!

LSU got lucky this year. They played a very weak schedule and a bunch of backup QBs.
