Let's be more honest. It's illegal, and the absurdity of things are people breaking the law and crying about it. Get it legal, then smoke it. I've no sympathy for anyone that breaks the law by using any substance that is used for the purpose of getting buzzed or high.

Its people like you that allows this to still be illegal.

Well, I just earned my degree in Psychology and am currently pursuing Masters, so I can assure you that I am well informed of the pineal gland and what it does. I just happened to gain that knowledge through an accredited university and not some stoner forum online.

they need to legalize weed. Take revenue away from cartels, and put it in the government hands.

I always feel like such a fricking liberal hippie when I say it, but there's no sense to why it isnt legal. Alcohol causes so much more damage its not even funny

From a college football players perspective:

Do students that are on full academic scholarships have to take a piss test as a condition of keeping their scholarship? Why should football players have to?

It doesn't take a liberal hippy to realize that. Just someone who thinks outside the box. Mogray is so high he didn't even realize I was on his side, though, so I don't know.

Agreed, weed does not enhance athletic performance. If it was not illegal there is no valid objection to its use by adults.

In 40 years people will view weed being illegal the same way we view alcohol being illegal

Brilliant people thought that in the 70s and 80s...

They could have never imagined we'd make it to 2012 with not only it still being illegal, but mass ignorance towards it.

And yes, later you shared the opinion it's dumb its illegal.

What's the difference?

I'll rephrase it. The question on page one wasn't on my side.

And if you needed to ask that question, I'm afraid you wasted a lot of time and money getting your psych degree.

A question has no sides unless it's loaded. I was just hoping you'd explain yourself in a way that wasn't vague or didn't assume that we are all less intelligent than you.

It's puzzling to connect your later comments with that first question. Normally, people that feel the way you do wouldn't have asked that question.

But to answer it is difficult because there are so many different angles to take with it..

Altering your consciousness can help break down old barriers. Weed is a mirror that can help you see yourself and the world differently when you do things like reflect instead of zoning out at the tv. Its the least powerful mirror nature gives us but it still is useful. Something like Ayahousca for example is a really powerful mirror. (Its becoming popular to use this to get heroin addicts clean).

It helps you see how stupid so many things are, I mean I feel rhetorical explaining this... how is this not something that you don't get on your own, you seem smart?

I understand most drugs from an empirical and biological standpoint and I know what effects they have on the human brain (and an animal or two). You are attempting to add some sort of spiritual meaning to them, so I was curious of your explanation.

Do some basic google searching and find out about cannabinoids and endocannabinoids and their effects on glutamate production and then google glutamate. Things are easier to break down to people when you find out the facts and start explaining things that way instead of your perceived experience.
