He was a head-scratcher from the beginning. Didn't seem like a good fit... seemed too anxious to "bring in his guy" at QB..

Were no Mullen disciples available?

Has a losing coach ever given a great press conference? What is he supposed to say to make people happy?

I guess he could say, "I sucked this week and I am giving my paycheck back to the university."

But we all know that's not going to happen.

Do you remember when Moo State fans were all giddy about hiring Less Head? Something along the lines it was a vast improvement over Mullen...I member.

He needs a new offensive line coach-that's the problem-at least it was against Tenn....He's not a bad coach-just going through some growing pains...

I actually felt sorry for him when he talked about his daughter crying and fans yelling that he sucks in front of her.

He should not have brought this up. It comes off as him wanting others to feel sorry for him, and that is really bad for a HC to do.

Also his daughter is in college. It was a very odd comment.

Well I do think people get a little too bloodthirsty. It’s not entirely inappropriate to remind everyone that he’s human and that he has a family.

what's pathetic is a significant portion of the LSU fan base eats a rodent that lives in dirty swamps.

I lost all respect for him for laying down against Iowa last year in their bowl game. I knew at that point that he sucked.

Wasn't he one of these coaches that tried to dance around in the locker room with his team after they won?

They always look really uncoordinated and silly as hell.

He's still not as bad as Chad Morris though.

Chadillac. Or Aggie Chaggie. It's so bad that it's not fun to pick on Arkansas any more.

Not at all.

It's no shame to get out of the SEC. I couldn't do it You gotta be a special type of sumbitch to succeed in this league.

I think JoMo would make a great MSU Fan, but he's too nice and grounded to be a successful HC, imho.

I get what you're saying...but he basically admitted he was in over his head and dedicated a good chunk of time to garnering pity...there is no perfect thing to say in a losing press conference, but this may have been one of the worst I've ever seen.

Some guys are playing hard and some aren't and some decided to take the easy path. I think it has more to do with the culture that Dan Mullen let fester. The only way to fix it is to bring in new people. That takes a little more time in college. Not quite as much anymore but I want everyone minus this freshman class an 2 defensive players gone for good.

shite, DM's recruiting coordinator was banging the head baseball coach. Dan didn't fire her either. He took her with him to UF. HE is a POS. I'd be willing to bet those yelling Joe sucks at his daughter would also get on their knees to do the same to have Dan Mullen back. They need to move on. Bama is only 80 miles down the road

Half the LSU fans always wanted Les Miles fired from day one. Miles took it like a man and won some games. I wasn't the biggest Miles fan, BTW. The point is you have to have very thick skin to be a HC in the SEC, or any major conference for that matter.

I would subject my family to much worse than a "you suck" for 4 million dollars a year.

I'm sure you would be okay with your daughter banging 3 star recruits just to get them to go to OM

Not really. Even as much grief as I give the Ags, 70% deserved, A&M has indeed lost to 3 top 10 teams. No one with a hyphen or a commuter school. A lot of teams would be 3-3 with that record.

Now,the nail biter with Arkansas...
