Yeah I’m with you. Jimbo sees them every day and knows what’s best. I don’t give it a second thought who he goes with.
It’s good for Mond to feel some heat. And another year for Calzada to mature mentally and physically is a great thing.

Kellen Mond stats against LSU:
33/79 - 41.7% - 379 passing yards - 6 TDs - 3 INTs - 4.79 y/a - 32 rushes - 34 rushing yards - 1 rushing TD
Maybe we need someone to contrast that to; who could we use? Oh wait, Joe Burrow was the QB for LSU for those same two years!
Joe Burrow stats against Texas A&M:
48/70 - 68.5% - 622 passing yards - 6 TDs - 0 INTs - 8.88 y/a - 35 rushes - 109 rushing yards - 3 rushing TDs

I alway thought Mond was Texas A&M's version of Jordan Jefferson. The light never went on for JJ and I doubt it will for Mond. My only regret is that he'll be out of eligibility after this year.

Is he though. Mond thru 3 years already has a more yards & TDs. His last 2 years were both better than JJ’s best.

I would think so. Mond has thrown 1,061 passes in 3 years while Jeffereson through 678 in 3+. They have the exact same rating and similar completion percentages and YPA. You can't compare the QB stats in a Les Miles ball control offense where you rely on your defense to win to a Jimbo offense. Jefferson threw more than 25 passes in a game 7 times in 4 years and only twice in his final two seasons Mond has thrown more than 25 passes 26 times in 3 years.

OP Mond doesn't suck, but he won't be picked in the first round.
By any objective analysis he should be expected to be an above average SEC QB this year.

Mond, as aTm’s starter over a full season, cost aTm at least three loses. At least three.
I like it though. I enjoy aTm losing. I can’t wait to come on here and gloat after aTm loses and mock Aggies relentlessly. You have the easiest schedule in the SEC next year and will fail spectacularly and we will be here to document your tears.
