Here is another response to Mr. Crowell, this one from Brenston Buckner, Clemson Grad and NFL vet, who attended the same high school as Isaiah. This is a response that most of us can appreciate, in contrast to the post that set off Mojo.

You are not the 1st and definitely not the last young man who will use bad judgement or make a mistake! It's time for you to find out who God wants you to be and not man, fans or hangerons! Your whole life people have praised you and celebrated your celebrity on the field, while your development as a young man went ignored. The same people that have scream your greatness from sea to sea are now turning their backs on you. The reason why because they only cared about you as a athlete and not a person.
This situation can either become your story or your testimony! That will solely be up to you! Isaiah you must evaluate who you call friend and who you surround yourself with.
You must start by looking in the mirror and taking full responsibility for what you are facing! It's at these time that we must draw nearer to God! You have tried it your way! Now it's time to let Him be the driver. When you develop your purpose thru what God wants things will change.
I speak to you from experience! We were given talents that many other don't posses. Not to score tds, make tackles or have an NFL career! But give God the glory in everything we do!
When a storm comes it blows away leaves and branches that are just hanging on. But the ones that are left are the ones that can help you grow and produce fruit.
Stand up and dust yourself off! God plan for you is still for you, even though you have stumbled! His plans never changes, we just get sidetracked! Ask Him to surround you with the right people that can guide you back! You don't own me, fans, haters or anyone anything. Ask God for His forgiveness! He is the only one that matters!
We are G.W. Carver High brothers. I will always be in your corner. Not to tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear. My love for my Tiger brotherhood is deeper than a sport! It's real!
Just remember: " WHEN THE CAMERAS AND FANS ARE GONE, WE ALL WE GOT!
If you need me I'm he

Athletics and entertainment are the only real way out for most black youth coming from poverty.
You watch to much TV if you believe this. Try working your arse off. That usually works.

1) this post is 100% spot on. this generation has it made (in general) and many people have SO MUCH MORE opportunity than previous generations.
2)even with all of this opportunity, whining has increased significantly. i'm pretty sure it works. if more people took this post's stance whining would decrease
See, I disagree. Companies today aren't willing to hire and train people out of college with no experience. Back in the 80s/90s, companies hired you just because you had a college degree and that person they hired got experience and learned an industry.

See, the problems start with jealousy. Jealousy will never get you out of a bad situation. I just love how blacks assume all white people are loaded and none of them had tough times.

You are a white male, all you had to do is show up at a place and say give me a job and you were hired.
Please tell me what place to show up for that will hire me just because I'm white.

ut im sure many black men had to work twice as hard to get half of what you got.
this fricking loser mentality is the reason so many blacks are poor.
I think blacks have more opportunity. There are a shitload of companies out there needing to meet a quota, and there are a shitload of scholarships to be had just because you're black.

Take your racist, entitled crap to the political board. Washington was being a whiny bitch because his buddy got castrated by everyone for doing something illegal and stupid, again. Life's hard. It's harder when you're stupid.

So, you worked / lived on a chicken ranch and attended a predominitely all black school?

No, but they are do everything to destroy the president. Mainly because he is black imo
This proves the already understood fact that you are simply racist. And yes, it's possible for black people to be racist. If you're white, you're clearly a self loathing hipster who needs a kick in the nuts because you have a fricked up world view.

You talk about being scared of the Russians' invasion, well try being afraid that a group of men in white hoods are going to come to your home and commit godless acts on your family.
Have Klan members ever come to your house and committed godless acts?

So before you get on your high horse remember this, the oppression by one group of people has permanently left another in poverty. So be a little more sensitive to a kid that just wants a way out of a effed up circumstance that he was born into.
They were born into poverty because their parents had no means to support them. That's nobodies fault but their deadbeat parents. Maybe if all the babies mommas and babies daddies cared enough to use birth control instead of bringing babies into this world that they don't want and / or can't support then we wouldn't have the problem we have today. I can certainly sympathize with children that are born into poverty, but you blaming people's financial problems of today on the actions of white people from a hundred years ago is fricking laughable.

You are a white male, all you had to do is show up at a place and say give me a job and you were hired. Don't kid yourself like it is so hard for a white man to make it. You make up over 70% percent of the population and control over 95% of the wealth and influence. Im sure you worked hard for what you have accomplished, but im sure many black men had to work twice as hard to get half of what you got
So Monty, how do you explain the Indian population in this country who make up only 3.18 million in this country (An even smaller minority and i.e. less influence than African-Americans). Yet somehow, they have a higher average median income (88,000) than whites (49,000)? Does that mean they are given more advantages than the white man?
It's strange but last time I checked their skin was just as black in alot of cases as a black man and yet somehow they have become the most successfull ethnic group in this country as a whole. Does that mean I can say as a white man that I am being dealt an unfair blow because Indians are coming into this country and (obviously) being given unfair advantages and taking too big a piece of the pie (for their ethnicity size) that whites in this country just are not getting?
I guess you would say they were given everything they have today too right? Or maybe they just work their arse off as soon as they get to this country and don't complain and bitch and just work their f/n arse off? Riddle me this Monty? I am so confused because I would have figured mean old whitey would have "fixed" this "problem" by now.
