Very commendable of him to wait until after the bowl game to make his announcement.
That’s solid parenting.

Good luck and hope he gets healthy. He can be solid if he has time to pass and isn’t asked to run. Glad that I don’t have to worry about him somehow winning the starting job again here

Strong character with this young man. He’s not good enough to get us where we want to go, but he’s a very solid person.

Could be a decent player at a lower level. Good luck to him

Who will the likely starter be next year? Someone on the roster? Will you all look at the transfer portal?

I’m very confused.

He was great last year and Mizzou fans thought he’d be a top 3 QB in the SEC.

Why did he get worse this year and are you hitting the portal for someone that can play next year because it isn’t the guy that played last night and freshman QBs struggle in the SEC

Brady Cook is the favorite to start.

We have a Elite 11 4* behind him in Macon, and super stud 4* Sam Horn coming in.

This is not unexpected or a loss in anyway

Good kid...never really know what goes on in a locker room, but he clearly regressed this year...I think part of it was lingering injury, Drink trying to preserve redshirts, etc., but good kid that just really struggled this year. No one can say he wasn't given plenty of opportunity to solidify his role.

Cook had a solid performance last night, I would say he has 75+% chance of becoming the starter next season. Not sure with Macon and Horn how that plays out for #2.

Always

He was hurt most of the year. The thought was we hoped he could progress his deep ball and maybe be that if he did. He didn’t. We have more talented QBs on the roster

Why the frick not? He played very well last night in his first start. Accurate arm and athletic enough to hurt you with his legs.
