This swag shite is a self-perpetuating myth. I'm still not seeing this cockiness being referred to. I'm from Missouri. Show Me.

I have no idea what will happen in Athens on Saturday. We could get mauled. Could be a good game. Could win. We know we are healthy, scoring lots of points, and that Georgia is quite banged up at some key positions. National pundits see the same thing and hence some of them are predicting this could be a potential upset game. If some Mizzou fans decide to agree with what national commentators are saying, is that cocky? If so, how???

And again, I'm not boasting about Vandy at all. But I think its hilarious seeing this board do a 180 from "Vandy is up and coming, Franklin is a great coach, they will roll dat Yankee Mizzou arse in Nashville" to "Vandy is just Vandy, they suck, nothing to see here" almost immediately. Finding the humor in that and taking pleasure in it is different from boasting.

You may be right about the 180 regarding Vandy, but I'm still in awe of the 180 from "Old Man Football" to "Why won' you accept us?"

I don't hate Missouri, but I'm enjoying the continued lack of respect from the boisterous way you entered the conference. By next year, I'll be over it.

Oh and how is DGB doing so far in his second year?

He's doing very well, but it's hard to tell from stats because of the number of receivers and backs that touch the ball in our offense. We really spread it around. But like several of our receivers, his yards per reception are pretty solid, and I don't think he's dropped any well-thrown passes. I don't think he will have the kind of year that will cause immediate draft speculation, though.

I don't give a Frick if the SEC accepts us. Just remember it's two "z's" when y'all are making out the check.

And remember when those Alabama players knocked out that kid and stole his credit card? Why did the fans support that? Oh they didn't? We shouldn't hold the fans responsible for every single statement or action of an individual player? Well this is a crazy upside down world.

That's actually not that complicated. The "old man football" quote was uttered by an idiot on our roster last year who is gone now, Sheldon Richardson, a good player who is now doing well in the NFL for the New York Jets, but was also a loud mouthed moron who barely made it out of juco, and missed his final home game for us last year because he quit bothering to go to class. He was the most talented player and team leader last year, and it was from his idiotic loud mouth that "old man football" was uttered.

He is gone now, and that is in fact reflected in this year's Mizzou team. Our top defensive player this year, Kony Ealy, said of the old man football quote that last year's Mizzou team "had its head up its asses" and this one was going to be more focused and respectful of the SEC schedule and what must be done. So far, they are indeed looking more focused, and there have been zero dumb or cocky media quotes from Mizzou this time.

You seem to have your panties in a twist!

Mizzou is the underdog vs UGA, remember?

How did Missouri go from dominating the SEC's "old man football" to complaining about being picked on, then to boasting about Vandy? That was quick. From swag, to victim, to swag again, in less than a season and a half.

I think it is an annoyance from the idiots on here who trashed Mizzou as not being SEC ready last year and the offseason. They completely ignored that for half our games last year we were starting what is now our 3rd string QB, the other half James Franklin was playing with an MCL sprain and coming off surgery on his throwing shoulder a few months earlier. Then throw in we were without our starting tailback for the entire season, and had injuries to 6 of our top 10 offensive linemen.

People here kept saying how weren't SEC ready because we didn't have depth to cover all those injuries. But now poor lil Georgia has a few boo boos to less critical positions than OL and QB, and it is already being set up as an excuse in case they lose.

Guess if Georgia loses, they aren't SEC ready.

DGB isn't even eligible to be drafted after this season anyway. So we will have him for at least one more year. Who knows, maybe with his brother joining the team, we could keep him all four years.

God so many of these SEC fans are pussies. I'm sorry we want to believe our team can win a game, that for all intents and purposes is becoming the biggest upset of the week call. Give me a frickin break

Sorry I guess ill just assume we will lose every game from now on, even though were 5-0 right now. Don't care who we beat, Arkansas wouldn't be undefeated right now.

Not to be negative sir but it sounds like he's over-rated. The kid has NFL measurable s and speed. Hell, he's 6-6 and dwarfs any DB trying to cover him. There has to be a reason this guy isn't the go to guy all game. He should be dominating guys like Beckem from LSU and Cooper from Bama. I guess recruiting experts aren't always right.

DGB leads the team in catches. So... umm... yeah.

We also have as good a WR core as anyone in the country. Lots of options, including 2 great senior WR's and a senior TE.

We know, which is why a 2 star is leading the SEC in sacks right now.

Maybe overrated being the #1 recruit, but he's a damn solid addition to our WR corps.

Think he is just developing as a receiver still. In high school, he played against sub-standard talent and just used his physicality to destroy competition.

At the SEC level, he needs to stay focused on running the right routes and using more technique. I still think he will have a great career at the college level and quite possibly some looks at the next level.

Well consider me wrong homie. My bad. We just haven't seen too many highlights of him. About how many yards and TD's is he averaging. I'm just curious. I'm not downgrading the kid just judging his progress. Thanks.

364 total yds for about 70 ypg
4 TDs

We do have a lot of depth at WR, but I think most people thought he'd be ahead of where he is.
