MSU looks great.
Simmons struggled against Troy.
We’re missing Hardy bigly.

I agreed in another thread where MS State's schedule is playing out nicely for bringing Kamario Taylor and the passing offense along. Each week has been a small step up in competition.
Arnett needs to stay the course on making opposing offenses methodically work the field; he has rarely called low coverage blitzes, but, when he does, he seems to get burned. Sellers last TD was a screen pass thrown against a big blitz. Arnett went for a knock out blow in a 3 possession game when he should have just kept making them work for it.
Kamario needs to get off on the right foot this week. The early INT and a couple off target throws put State in the hole early. He climbed out it spectacularly but I'd rather he not have to do that.
Mizzou's offense has some talented players. If Simmons gets help from the run game, Miss St is going to have their hands full. If State makes him one dimensional, he could have the same trouble Sellers had.

No updates really. He is still not practicing, but since he has not started practicing yet, as we enter SEC play, I have to think he will not be returning this year. It's all very unfortunate, but I hope the young man does focus on his recovery, and gets to 100% before returning. No matter what that may mean for Mizzou, he is a good young man.

Pretty hard to tell who is actually good this year yet. Maybe Minnesota and SC really suck. But two wins on the road, one a come from behind victory at a fairly hostile SEC environment make me like MSU’s chances in this one. I only watched Mizzou play a little against Kansas. Simmons looked pretty good. Maybe Kansas just sucks? ??. We’ll find out soon.

Mizzou beat us handily last year, but this is a completely different team for State. I think this ranges from a comfortable state win (17 points) to a 3 point loss. All three phases playing great for state, but I’m not well versed in Mizzou since last season.

We’ve won 2 SEC games the last 3 years. Don’t think we will be overlooking anyone, particularly a ranked opponent at home.

I don’t know. It’s human nature. Even more so when you are dealing with young adult males lol. Moo St has a lot of excitement right now and they are way better than years past. All of a sudden you look at the schedule and see Bama next week.
