1. LSU hires Blake Baker in the offseason, paid him a boatload and brought him home.
2. A select number of LSU fans gloat on the Rant, rub salt in the wound, and generally take it too far.
3. Lots of hyping up the Blake Baker defense for the remainder of the offseason, probably because LSU's defense let them down in 2023 while Daniels and the offense had a phenomenal year.
4. LSU has a very disappointing season (despite what they will tell you now, LSU expected to be better than they finished). The defense is a letdown as LSU finishes 11th in the conference in surrendered yards per game, 14th in yards per play.
5. Mizzou's defense on the other hand is reasonably good while the offense is weak. The Mizzou defense ranks 5th and 9th in the categories above, better than LSU on both fronts.

In 2023 LSU's defense was 110th or something obscene.
In 2024 LSU's defense was in the 50's, after we lost our best 3 linemen from 2023.
Baker was worth it.

This forum reminds me so much of fake news and lies. Baton Rouge and surrounding area does NOT get their water from any river. Baton Rouge has natural artesian sources and actually has great water purity. I would bet BR water is better than any place on this stupid forum!!!
