No. Just leave it the way it is until we eject Mizzou.

I do think Auburn will eventually end up in the East. It will take the next round of expansion for that to happen.

Don't agree because the SEC will NEVER put same-state schools into different divisions.

The ONLY way that might work is if he's also talking about a conf. schedule change as well.

Does Bama drop UT or Auburn as their perm East rival? Seems to be the primary issue of this topic.

In before Bama fans tell great stories about their phony bama-Tennessee rivalry.

What does the series back in the 90's tell you about the rivalry?

Just quit calling it east and west.

Reseed the teams every decade.

Have the Saban division and the Bear Bryant division.

So the teams would be ranked 1 though 14 by conference record after 2021.

1,3,5,7,9,11,13
2, 4,6,8,10,12,14

Would be the divisions for 10 years.

& how do you rank teams that don't play each other, but have the same record?

Both AU and UA would insist that the IB continues. It is not only good for the State, it is good for the SEC and CF.

& UA & UT would insist that the TSIO continues. It's also good for the SEC & CF.

Would Florida identify Auburn over Georgia or UT as a rival?

every UF fan I know, and I live in UF country, considers the Auburn/UF rivalry at the top of their list. Like me, they wish it was played every year.

You are confusing the meaning of "natural rival". Alabama's borders touch these states. Using your rational, every SEC school is a "natural rival" which is just not the case.

& every UF fan I know considers WLOCP, FSU, & Miami tops in their rivalry rankings.

Tennessee hasn't been competitive with bama in years. They have essentially became their annual homecoming cupcake.

Honestly, I wish the SEC would drop divisions and do the same thing that the Big 12 is doing and playing the top 2 schools with the top record.

HOW is having a rematch game "a good thing"? The NCAA should have turned that idea down & make them come up with a better plan.

Why is Missouri even in the SEC?

Could go for pods, but pair them up yearly & best teams go to SECCG:

year 1: AB winner vrs. CD winner
year 2: AC winner vrs. BD winner
year 3: AD winner vrs. BC winner

Pairing up the pods gives you 7 games & lets you face everybody in 3 years (full H/A in 6).

That I can't answer. You'ld think the SEC would have really chosen an eastern school to come to our division. Unless it was part of a future plan when expansion happens again?

As much as I like to shite on Auburn, I admire how most all AU fans do not take the "whatever is easy / whine about any opponent" route like most LSU fans do, yet take the "we want to play Florida and Georgia" every year approach. I appreciate the competitiveness.
And another reason to go to a 9 game conference schedule.

It's bad enough that UGA, UT, and FL are all on the rise

This move would be the death knell of the program. That's not hyperbole.

It would make it much tougher for us but if that's what's best for the SEC as a whole then so be it.
