Gonna make a trip to one of these two games next year to cross it off the list. For those that have been to both (probably very few) which would you recommend?

I went to Fayetteville in 2009. Great trip, but I don't remember much

Fayetteville is a much bigger town. The bar district is right by the stadium. UGA is more likely to lose that game though.

You don't remember the baby dick ginger legend leading us to victory?

Well, I remember the victory. But I had about 4 pitchers of beer before kickoff.

You'd really enoy Columbia. Great college town, the bar district borders campus, lots to do. And you'll be welcomed with open arms. Until kick-off.

Isn't Fayetteville in the Ozarks? The fall foliage should be amazing depending on when your game is.

Mid October to Early November is when it usually starts, we are having a late fall this year.

Yup. Nestled right in the mountains.

I've never personally been to Fayetteville, but I my friend's got a cousin down there and he always loves visiting Columbia.
Maybe it's just a matter of being out of town and not being in the same little circle of people, but he tears it up and says Downtown Columbia is great.

Both have their pluses and minuses.
I'd rather go watch a game in Columbia than watch one in the big10 territory of St. Louis (Mizzou v Illinois, I seent it).

Rafe Peavey and Armon Watts disagree.

FWIW...Stonehog was blown away by Columbia, MO. Due to all of the misinformation posted about COMO, he didn't expect too much.
Instead, what Stonehog experienced literally blew his mind; an incredible college oriented downtown bar scene that according to him is about 5 times larger than Dickson Street, an incredibly beautiful campus, and very cordial and fun people.
He was so impressed that he also said he would like to attend graduate school at Mizzou and move there as soon as possible.
Take that for what it's worth.

If you like Athens then you'll certainly like her younger sister in Fayetteville.

Actually, if population means anything, F'ville is 77,000 and CoMo is 120,000

Oh. You mean the surrounding 50 miles. Ok. Carry on.
