Sources: Missouri is set to hire South Alabama defensive coordinator Corey Batoon as the school’s new defensive coordinator. He’s a veteran coach with experience at Liberty, Hawaii, FAU and five seasons in various roles at Ole Miss.

I heard your DC had a DC so we made him our DC since we needed a DC.

Probably not a bad hire. He might would have wound up at Alabama in due time if Missouri hadn't got him.

Does he recruit DC? There is lots of good talent per capita in DC for a DC if a DC were inclined to recruit DC.

As long as this DC likes AC/DC, then he's alright with me.

He had the #15 defense in 2023 and held oklahoma state at oklahoma state to 7 points. Not a splash hire but probably low key decent and LSU paid for him if he doesn't work out. Win win.

Yeah he’s got some learning to do cause Sun Belt is easy peasy compared to the SEC
