Well, the future is now old man. If the conference thought the way you did, it would be the SEC being left behind by the Super PAC-16 and the B1G.

Mizzou and Missouri in general have always been overlooked. It comes with the territory of being the 4-direction transition zone of Eastern to Western and Northern to Southern...nobody really identifies with us because we're the weird melting pot of the 4 quadrants of the US.

I kind of feel bad for Missouri in 2007 but then I don’t. Weird season. Missouri was championship caliber and somehow lost to OU twice. Sooners were also championship caliber. Blew a 24-7 lead to Colorado and lost 27-24. Bradford went down in the loss to TTU. Otherwise that could have been a win. Would have, should have. 2007, what a b***h of a season.

KY, a charter member of the SEC, has yet to play in the big game in Atlanta. I wouldn't either if I were a fan.

They are Midwest. Should be in Big 10 geographically. SEC shouldn’t ever have snow games.
Yeah, and you should be SWC, because Oklahoma is more west, than east.

If the fans of the SEC had been allowed to vote neither Misery or A&M would have been allowed to join the conference. Y’all weren’t wanted. Misery’s stadium is an embarrassment to the conference. Shoot, my high school stadium was nicer! Your school colors are so loud and tacky they make peoples eyes hurt and most disturbing of all your state has had recent minority travel safety warnings. Yep! In this country and in this day and age minorities had to be warned to avoid your state or watch their backs. Considering that most college teams have a good number of black players I’m surprised there wasn’t a boycott of your games. Why your school was ever even considered by the SEC is a mystery. The reason y’all get no respect is because you haven’t earned any. I’ve been to Columbia twice and found most of your fans to be drunken red necks who don’t know how to lose nicely. And BTW since anyone over 40 seems to be ancient, how old are you? You write like some nerdy jr high school kid. What are you? 13? 14?

I think we all remember how your ONE trip to Atlanta went. Ha ha

I was born in the South and have lived here my entire life. I have never met anyone who thought Missouri was Southern. Midwestern or possibly Western but not Southern. A&M, Texas and Oklahoma don’t qualify either. All poor choices for the SOUTHEAST conference.
I have to disagree.
On November 28th, 1861 the Confederate Congress admitted Missouri as the 12th state of the Confederacy after Missouri's disputed secession from the Union.
On the tv show, Designing Women, which is set in Atlanta, the character, "Charlene", is from Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Ever hear her accent? It's puuuuuuuuuuure Southern.
Missouri's more Southern in character and culture than you think. Sure, St. Louis is more Midwestern along with Kansas City, but these two cities are but mere bookends on a big state that, inbetween, contains a lot of Southerness about it.
If you'll go visit the state (not St. Louis or K.C., although K.C. is Southern to a the point of being famous for its variety of BBQ), you'll find Southern culture there, especially the lower half of the state.

Good. That's what makes a rivalry.

We pretty much took 2-3 decades off from Football

Believe what you want. True Southerners have never considered Missouri Southern. Not that we spent any time thinking about y’all anyway

We'll spew this....Missouri OWNS Kansas 57-54-9, and in just about every other measurable metric when it comes to football.

I grew up in the South -- Atlanta, Ft. Benning, North Carolina and Texas. Have lived in Southern California for a long time (I'm old).
People in the Deep South (like Georgia) think Virginia's a northern state and Yankee through and through, yet Virginia's as southern as they come. Just don't think all of Virginia is like Alexandria/Northern VA because it isn't. You just need to learn more about the outside of your safe harbor boundaries. You'll be surprised.
