I guess you could have done a better job without the OL coach and the OC being there to help with recruiting and preparing for the bowl game. So Barry had to find a way to get someone to take the those two jobs from the current staffs to get the job done right. I guess you could have done a better job getting the team prepared in a month. Also do not forget Barry also had to coach the defense since Cross was fired half way into the season. How long did that take to get the defense going the right direction? You think Barry should have gotten the temporary OC to step up to get the job done that he had no business in doing that but was thrown in a month ago to get it done because there was no one else who was qualified for that job and not given enough time to get it done. You also forgot the OL coach left too! Barry Odom should find a good replacement today as he said he will hire someone after the bowl game that will have 9 months to get the offense back on track for the regular season. I am upset that some MIZZOU fans do not understand the situation Barry Odom had to deal with this year. Yet he did get MIZZOU to win 7 games and then had more step back due to OL coach and OPC left in last minute that messed up the rhythm that was doing well in the last 6 games. Barry only been a head coach for 2 years in college and he had done a great job so far with all the problems happened at MIZZOU the last 3 years! Plus dealing with fans that wanted him fired! What a shame to have fans of MIZZOU wanted a MIZZOU guy fired! Not many give him the support when he was winning and making bowl and getting MIZZOU back to a bowl game.

Much of the situation Barry Odom had to deal with this year was caused by Barry Odom.
He hired Cross. He retained Cross. He allowed Cross to try to tinker with the defense again. He fired Cross mid season.
He lost Elarbee to UCF in a lateral move position wise. In other words, an SEC Oline coach was willing to become an AAC Oline coach. And he left on bad terms. At least some of the blame for that has to go to Odom.
Odom is not going to hire a Defensive Coordinator for 2018. So I’ll guess we’ll hear from you again next year about the situation Barry Odom has to deal with. God help us if he hires Joe Jon as OC.
