You keep saying this, you know he plays the 4, right?
Ya, and he wouldn't even be one of our top 4 choices this year or next (assuming everyone stays)
Starter - Danjel Purifoy ~80% of minutes at 4 last yr
Backup - Horace Spencer
New Transfer Addition - Transfer Desean Murray -> Played PF at Presbyterian
New Recruit Addition - ESPN top ~50 GA Mr. Basketball Chuma Okeke

No doubt. This has slanted my view on Howland a bit.
But, I'll trust him
I have a hard time blaming Howland here. He was damned if he did, damned if he didn't.

Only blame I'd put on Howland is that he should have started with a conditional release outside the SEC

He was, but I hoped he wouldn't get in those situations. Maybe its just the nature of college hoops. Still not as embarrassing as having the #1 recruit/commit in the world sit in a corner and suck his thumb/blanky while being interviewed.

conditional release outside the SEC
Not applicable in this case, only for transfers

Auburn gonna be stakt
SEC is fukt

You do realize the kid lives in the city of Auburn right?

haha calm down, buddy, I'm sure all your people over there know how kick arse you are. Didn't know and honestly don't care, just got sick of reading your posts.

Just dropping in to say I hope Will Wade calls this kid up immediately, we need a big man ridiculously bad for next season.

They don't have to grant the release, they can make all the demands they want
You can block the actual transfer etc, but MSU could easily have him publicly statehe isn't going to the SEC. Make him look bad if he did

Also, I have heard reports the kid actually cried after signing his LOI at his announcement.
If you just locked yourself into a four-year stretch at Starkville you'd cry too.

Can't do that, but he should have just let him out to begin with. It's not worth the negative press.

I haven't found a single source that names a school outside of UNC, UGa, AU, or MSU that interested this kid. I would imagine that everybody involved knows that everybody else involved knows what is really going on

In typical fashion msst falls on the dick yet again. Grants him a full release.

UNC is confident. We have 1 spot and want the Duquesne signee from FL that was released.

Well it doesn't matter bow because they caved like pussies and released him.
But to answer your question, why go to a trash school located in the trashiest town of the trashiest state when you could stay in your hometown and sit but be a hero as part of the first teams in the return to glory for the school you grew up idolozing?
Only reason he didn't sign with Auburn in the first place is because we never extended a commitable offer. We still not might not take him depending on who we can get from the grad transfer market. But if at any point we had or do give him the go ahead, he'd jump.

You really do have some weird obsession with Msu. I mean you post something negative in every single Msu thread. Are you sure you aren't an ole miss fan? It's going to be ok man. There's no reason to be so obsessed.
