First, yep... that's some BS. Guy got what he deserved.

Second, It amazes me the amount of vitriol over this vs human tragedy. Things like abortion. Or afterbirth abortion that the VA governor talked so freely about.. leaving the baby on a table and letting it die.

Again, this is bad, he got what he deserved.... but are people in this thread this emotional over abortions?

This thread is not about abortions. If you want to debate abortions, take it to the appropriate board.

That's correct. This thread is about virtue signaling!

Let's all comment at the horror that Mississippi State dares to have a POS on their roster, until the time we can all go to our stadiums and root vigorously for the POS's on our rosters!

I agree with you.... I also think that the MSU fanbase is one of the worst offenders of the above behavior

I don't know how you could ever quantify this, but I don't disagree

I don't disagree, but most of the time I've seen it, it's been a defense mechanism in response to the Jeff Simmons outrage. If we're going to talk about about the kid who beat up a woman, then we gotta talk about the kid that kicked the shite out of his girlfriend, or the kid that stuck his finger up dude's asses. If you're going to claim moral high ground, you have to make sure your house is in order. In our haste to burn our bretheren, we rarely do.

Well he pleaded guilty. Evidently the court took what he did and his punishment into account and placed him on probation to be monitored.

He did the crime based on his plea and did the time. Now the court will watch him.

Does that mean he needs to be kicked off his team?

I'm not talking specifically about the Michael Story situation. He did a really terrible thing and he's paid a price for it...and a much bigger price than just missing two football games. There's no excuse and I hope he's learned a lesson.

My comments are directed toward everyone else who make this an issue of MSU coaches or administration enabling behavior like this, while those same people ignore the terrible stuff that is done by students at their school, too.

If your point was that you're ignorant, then yes you made it very clear.

While I was at school at the end of the school year the animal shelter would get a ton of drop off of dogs, cause the puppy they got grew up and it was "too much to handle" and the person would just forget about the dog. I've seen that happen at several colleges.

I'll never understand this. Sure, puppies are cute, but they're also assholes that are a lot more work than a fully grown dog (assuming they have a good owner). After getting a rescue dog I'll never get a puppy or buy a dog. Not judging anyone who does, I'd just personally prefer to get a dog that may be put down than give money to a breeder. Plus I think rescue dogs tend to be super appreciative and loving. Also, frick this Story guy.
