Hey Buga, I know you're too young to know this but Starkvegas has been a tongue in cheek reference for as long as I can remember. Students have always referred to it as that. Other schools in the SEC too. I know you're just looking for fodder to spout off about on a message board but just felt like you could use some education.

Not sure this thread turned out like you thought. Starkvegas has been around for at least 20 years that I can remember... you aren't even 20 years old. And if you're going to insult our culture, at least be accurate and use proper punctuation. We aren't "hillbillies" but rednecks. For those of us on the coastal counties we answer to "coast trash." You have a lot to learn grasshopper.

Great job by the city and the University to take what was a perceived insult and turn it around into a cultural icon that is viewed very positively around the country. The TV announcers use it affectionately nowadays.
It’s effect is overwhelmingly positive in the present day.

So those who continue to make fun of us over it are really showing themselves as fools. But please go ahead and continue to do so. We seemed to have gotten the last laugh.
