He's a great playcaller, but doesn't know how to run a program in the SEC with all the intricacies (Player Management and Interpersonal Relations). Pretty much sums it up.

He was dealing with a bunch of dumb kids from Mississippi that couldn’t understand his offensive philosophy

He played fast and athletic defenses in the SEC. Just like what’s happening to Leach right now.
I feel like this is the right answer.
I mean, you can't play Bo Pelini every week.

You maybe didn't give the guy enough time. Gonna take Leach some years to beat anyone really good imo. Maybe he's better suited as a OC more head I mean

Some guys are better DCs/OCs than HCs.
Also Helps when you go to a team with top talent.
His offense still sputtered and turned the ball over, barely beat Wazzou, a far cry from the Bama’s and A&Ms
Don’t let the padded “W”s fool you, J-Mo won 3 SEC games last season

Moorhead is a way better better coach than Leach.

Prove it.
Lets compare their lifetime HC W/L records, Bowl Records and records owned by their players.
I didn’t see teams beating his door down once he was fired....

Tried to fit a square peg in a round hole.

We have 5 new offensive linemen and a new qb. Oregon’s third down conversion rate is ridiculous right now. In 2021 Oregon will have the talent to compete with the very best. We shall see.

I still think it’s hilarious that Mississippi State thinks they’re a big enough deal to fire a HC after going 6-6 in his second year.

What I am seeing is not fitting the offense to the personnel. An RPO offense is what his qbs could run.

Oregon gonna go 7-0 by playing absolutely NOBODY. I’ll be surprised if they don’t win by a couple scores every week from here out TBH.
Thankfully the playoff committee has all but stated the PAC12 will be excluded this year

I was not glad to see him go but unfortunately it was the right decision. I liked him a lot. He is a good coach, he recruited well and did a lot of good things at State.
However his conditioning program was terrible and he did not keep the program disciplined. He was also the victim of some bad fortune.
Had Mitchell caught the pass against UF and Guidry against Iowa then the 2018 team is 10-3.
Next I still think we would have been better off with KThompson at QB last year. We would have beaten KState, UT and won our bowl game. Chasing grad transfer QB’s is not a good strategy IMO. I understand you occasionally get a Minchew but that seems to be the exception.
I wish him well though and will pull for him to have success wherever he is in the future.

I really don’t want them in the playoffs this year. 2021 is the year and they get to play at tOSU.
