Magnificent beast. Best live mascot in the country. Does this one attend games?

LSU is on record as saying that practice is a thing of the past.

LSU never forced the previous Mike to attend, if he didn't want to go, he didn't go. fricking PETA, we need to feed those twats to the tigers

It was part of the process towards LSU becoming an official Tiger Sanctuary.

LSU officials were concerned that animal rights activists would make obtaining future Mikes even more difficult that they did getting this one.

Mike VII's first day at LSU - August 21, 2017.

Know I am going to sound biased here since I am the fan of team called Tigers, but the tiger is the most beautiful animal on the planet.

It’s cruel as hell to put an animal the size of a tiger in a small area next to your stadium. Not to mention freaking the poor thing out at football games.

PETA should come down on your asses.

It’s a rescue tiger that wouldn’t survive in the wild and it doesn’t go to football games

But you know that, because even I know that

You're just jealous because your mascot has a brain the size of marble.

I am not sure if you are trolling, but as others have said.. He has a pretty sweet habitat to himself. Before the new Mike moved in, LSU said $950,000 worth of upgrades were made to the tiger habit. I think I am okay with it. Especially considering he is a rescue. He lives like a King.

He looks so much better from the initial pictures. He is filling out proportionately and his colors look better than ever!

Mike 7 was donated to LSU from the Wild at Heart Wildlife Center in Florida. Mikes IV, V and VI were also donated to LSU from rescue facilities.

I like this photo for some reason, but not sure if it's the new Mike or not. Just posting because it's cool.

I do sort of wish he could have a companion though. I don't like seeing any living creature exclusive.

Does Mike get his chance to "help" the tiger population grow?

The Bengal Tiger is a beautiful animal. LSU is fortunate to have him as their mascot.
