Dude was 7-3 against aggy, 2-8 against TEXAS, so yeah, he might do better against weaker opponents.

Yep - and far enough away from the super spotlight. Would have been a great fit.

He is right that a man with a gun is the top predator so the mascots with men with guns such as Mountaineers, Cowboys, etc.. would be tops. However of the animals, nothing on land can take a full grown African elephant. Not even a pack of Lions can bring an adult one down. Young adult males have been known to kill rhinos and hippos while in musk. However my favorite of the live mascots is Mike the Tiger. Tigers are just magnificent predators. I also have to give credit to Auburn's eagles, though not their mascot, it is a really cool college football tradition to have them hovering above the crowd before the game.
