Washington State: Overall 55–47 Conference 36–36 in the weak PAC12.. Do not see him being successful in the SEC.

ETA One season Ranked.. Last season 6-7...

This may be the first time that three SEC West teams hired new head coaches and are fairly happy with all three hires.

Do you have any idea what shape WSU was in before he got there?

Yes, I do, but he went 6-7 in his 7th year... Hard to blame that on the previous regime.

ETA: Back in the day they were more successful, so it can be done.. 2001-2003 they won 10 or more games each year...

He will average 6-8 wins a year, but his claim to fame is upsetting highly ranked teams when you don't expect it.

He couldn’t turn down a million dollar per year raise. Good grief, State.

Happy for y'all. The West is going to be a beast if all of these coaches try to live up to their hype.

Law of Averages dictate that for every win there is a loss. For the West it's about to get real interesting over the course of the next three or four years.

Tough conference to be in , but one thing your entire league will be getting is majorly high octane and entertaining offense.

they were ranked at one point and had a bunch of injuries to starters and things just went south. the team seemed uninspired for the bowl.

SEC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Boring/NobodyWatching FudgePack12

Coaches leave top jobs in other conferences to take lower or middle-of-the-road programs in the SEC (Bert, Jimbo, Holtz, etc.) because it is the NFL minor league and always exciting.

I'll be honest, I was worried about where State was gonna go to get a new coach. I definitely did not see this being an option. Absolute home run hire by the AD. I had State left for dead and buried.

Now it's yet to be seen if he can actually turn it around on the field but from a fan exitmwnt and interest level, couldn't have done much better than this. Plus, he will give us the wonderful sound bytes that we've been jonesing for since Les got the boot. Great hire.

This. It's going to be fun. I'm curious to see how this will affect the defensive prowess the SEC is known for.

Don't worry. That same group of people that started the rumors are already starting on Leach.

NO.. not even kidding. "Bad fit", "this shite won't work here"... "fire Cohen"...

All kinds of nice things
