This. Insurance should cover all preventative measures and testing. In fact they should lower rates for those who get the tests done regularly as incentive to do it.

It would save them money in the long run not having to pay hundreds of thousands when a person has a major medical emergency
you would think. Honestly, if you look at the increase in life span despite the rapid increase in obesity, it's a testament to improvements in preventive care and emergency care.

The outpouring from all corners of the SEC says a lot about the man.

So very sad.

Also, he's saying it was a stroke and that goes against what everyone else is saying

Heart attack can cause stroke. Lack of oxygen and blood to brain.

Didn’t know Coach Leach but was always a big fan. This situation is bothering me so much and it’s crazy because he never coached at any team I really care about but he was just one of those guys that I admired because he was so real.

If this turns out like people are saying, college football will be forever worse without him.

Statement didn’t say that but it’s probably an accurate assumption.

So if you get a high number on your calcium test, what is the next step? Do you get a stint?

Because college football wasn’t worthy to have a coach like him or a personality like him. We love the sport so we are a little closer to the situation than normal

I ended up with some ridiculous number on calcium test

If you had a CT of the chest coronary calcifications would have been visible.

Also, practically zero chance Leach survives this unfortunately. If he was down 10-15 mins in ventricular fibrillation or V.Tach then thats 15 minutes that the brain had without oxygen. Even with therapeutic hypothermia, he will likely have long term, severe brain damage if he somehow survives.

Prayers to him and his family, and I hate the situation, but he has about a 10% chance to make it.

I’m not going to argue with you. But the information is there. It’s accurate. I have no clue who that guy is.

The pirate can’t sail off like this. What an icon in the sport. His coaching tree turned the Big12 into the craziest offensive conference in the country. The air raid still has a huge influence in the state of Texas. He also loved disappointing the hopeful college station folk.

Doesn’t sound good, at all. He was without oxygen for several minutes. Sounds like they were waiting for the whole family to arrive.
