Freeze is 3-1 this year. He’d have to lose 5/6 of his remaining 7 games to get canned. Thats not happening.

They have 8 regular season games left.
I think he goes 4-4 over the last 8, losing four of these: @TAM, Georgia, Missouri, @Arkansas, @ Vandy, Alabama.
That would be 7-5. That is likely enough to get him another year. But there will be a lot of screaming to hire a new coach. Starting out 3-0 and being ranked again finally will make the screams even louder if he does.

Both of those guys are good coaches no doubt...
But they are both kind of quirky dudes.. A bit different in terms of personality.
It is going to take a certain fit for locals somewhere besides Oklahoma to work for the Gundy Bros...
They've basically been around here all their lives and despite their ignominious endings as coaches... have been celebrities since they were high school kids.

I’ve got a buddy who is an FCS coach and he said it’s so bad that players are getting offered a “promotion”$ after they play their body bag games against FBS schools.
As in, the FCS team coaches KNOW who they are going to lose by game 3 of the season.
Have to imagine that’s happening all the way up.
