That was funny too.

We already beat the LSU comparisons when we repeated in 2022.

Hey. Not everyone can put 8 defenders into the NFL and still lead the conference in defensive ppg and total defense.

We are built different.
(Bama fans may recognize it if they squint a little)

Strange you remember that because we thought muschamp just wasn't a good head man.

UGA will not lose a beat on offense with Bobo as the next OC> Why are you so excided about this? I don't care since it will not change much of the win-loss outcome for UGA for this season.

Lsu has proven it cannot reload after a national title. That’s the point

The last three Head Coaches at LSU have played in 4 National Championships, an won 3. LSU has beat UGA 4 of the last 6 time playing. LSU hold and overall record of 18-14-1.
I do like Monken, remember him when he was at LSU.

This is a Mike Dubose level hire. Maybe worse.

Yet lsu has failed to follow up any of those with a successful reload. It ain’t easy to do.

It wasn't the playbook as much as the jimmy's and joes and the coaches taking the reigns off.

If Brady was the wonderboy he's made out to be, he'd be in a better job today than he was after leaving LSU.

Allen has regressed slightly since his epic 2020 season and Carolina? Let's not talk about that.

The thing is Georgia still has plenty of jimmies and joes and overall, they are improving in talent on offense. That was not true on the bayou.

Let's be honest, nobody hates/hated Bobo more than Georgia people.

He wasn't universally hated the way Willie Martinez, Todd Grantham and Schotty were. He was liked by at least half if not a little more. And the respect for him grew after Schotty's crap show in 2015. At this point, most just equate him with Richt and the crap offensive talent he had at S. Carolina and the shite show of a coaching staff and head coach at Auburn.

Let's just say the disdain Mason has for Harsin is not much more than what Bobo has.

This is not a splash hire, but the excuses Bama makes for their coordinator hires can be said about Bobo. He's never had as much talent as he's got now. And he is more proven than Rees and at least as successful as Steele in his better years.

But the secret sauce to what's going on at UGA right now goes far deeper than Monken. Mike will be coaching more talent than Todd had in the coming years.

No you didn't, you repeated with the same coaching staff. LSU lost several coaches after the 2019 season and Coach O hired guys that had not called plays before eer to run his offense and defense. When you lose especially a guy of the caliber of Dave Aranda at DC and then you lose the combined smarts of Ensminger and Brady together on Offense paired with Burrow it takes a huge toll.
You have just lost a QB that was t here for 20 years and your playcaller that was with said 50 year old QB for the last 3 years which just so happens to coincide iwth your 3 year run of sucess. Coincidence I think not.

Georgia's O-Line will be as good, if not better, than the O-Line that only gave up 9 sacks in 15 games.

Add Bowers and Delp to the blocking scheme and you have literally no drop off.

Bobo really couldn't ask for a better situation/position to assume.

Our DC went to Oregon prior to 2022.
Our WR coach left for LSU prior to 2022.
Our OL coach retired prior to 2022.
Our DB coach left for Miami prior to 2022.

So if you call losing 40% of the staff of assistants “the same coaching staff” then I guess so.

Coincidence

We lost 15 players to the draft.
We lost 40% of our on field coaching staff and just under 40% of our off field player support staff.

And we came back to win 15 straight games (blowing out 6 ranked opponents) to our 2nd consecutive national championship.

I know LSU fans said that we couldnt do it.

The coincidence is that LSU fans are now trying to prop our QB who preseason ranked outside the top 5 QBs in the conference and OC that runs old school UGA 3 yards and a cloud of dust offenses (ignorant SEC posters).
