we had it first. it dates all the way back to the old country. the first block m was brought over on the mayflower

I think the Romans carved the Mizzou M on the colosseum after the Tigers beat the gladiators.

Fun fact, mizzou went after a high school, in a town of 3,000, with a similar tiger logo.

I've never had any trouble distinguishing the two. Mizzou should stick with the block M.

I mean all colleges have to do that to protect their trademarks or they become invalid. Louisville went after a high school in Kentucky a few years ago for using their logo. They ended up basically allowing it but they had to file a legal challenge to protect their IP.

It's pretty common tbqh.

There is/was a high school in Alabama that uses/used LSU's tiger eye logo. I always wondered how they got away with that. I have no idea if they still use said logo of course but they did back when I played.
