I was really hoping Bowman would be another big bodied WR. I guess as long as he produces as TE its not that much different. But damn that woulda sucked for defenses to have to cover both Julio and Bowman's bigass.

Norwood>Bowman at WR. The thought of Bowman at TE made my pants move. See Orson Charles. Granted, Bowman will be a little different. But having what is practically a WR lining up at TE is awesome.

Great idea, I think we are really trying to open up the offense and this would be an excellent move. Linebackers will be too slow to run with him and safeties to small.

How long will it be before Danny Lee Fluker is moved to NT? If he can't make it at OT, where is he going to play? Vlachos, Warmack and Jones aren't going anywhere for the next two years or so.

I don't think Fluker starting is a sure thing at all, he's still apparently more raw than some of the other guys. Of course if he doesn't start his first two years (oh no!) then some geniuses will decide that he's a bust I'm sure.

If I were the staff I'd drop Fluker in at guard and make people try to run through him. It would not only get him early playing experience but who the hell is going to drive him back? And imagine him paving the inside road for Ingram/Trent/whoever.

The move for Bowman to TE sounds really good. Mike Williams is a good blocker and serviceable in the receiving game, but he is not a true threat at the TE position.

Underwood has struggled with his hands, according to a lot of reports.

After seeing Julio at TE in the NC game, it is obvious that the staff is intent on trying different combinations to get the passing game on track.

Yeah, but we have Barrett Jones (Sophomore) and Chance Warmack (Freshman) at those two positions. Vlachos is only going to be a Junior next year. Where is the room?

Not sure what Vlachos has to do with anything. I feel pretty confident in saying Fluker isn't gonna be our center. He should be in the mix at right tackle next year, if he doesn't win the job then he should be in the mix for right or left tackle the next year, where he'll still only be a redshirt sophomore. He could get moved to NT but I don't see any reason to freak out or declare him a bust if he doesn't start next year. The Andre Smith comparisons right off the bat were silly, Fluker didn't even play that much on the OL in high school till his senior year.

Tyler Love has that RT spot on Lock. Repping for the Brook. LOL.

He should have signed elsewhere he would have been an starter on a passing team. He is the best pass protecter on the team just not physical enough in the run game.

Fluker will play at OT this season, and have a chance to start in 2011, if he doesn't beat out Love or McCullough at RT this spring and fall. I doubt he ever moves to defense. He's too damn tall to ever be a good NG.

He'll have to be good at both, to be successful at the next level. No one better than Joe Pendry to get him ready. And I think Love will win the RT job too.

True, but the NFL is becoming more and more of a passing leauge. I think he'll be a better NFL player than college player because the pro game suits his strenghts better than UA.

It will be hard for him to beat out Alfred or DJ, but his time is now.
