Its likely this kind of fan support for the first 2 games is historical. You never see more than a few K at most. They have taken over the OKC entertainment district and more. Ran them out of beer at most places. Never seen anything like it.
OKC hit the jackpot when they assigned Nebby here. Some fans got here early in the week and they kept coming. We sell out all the Thunder games but this is a team over 7 hours away and due to how big an area of farmland their fans cover its longer for quite a lot of them.
Its a money bonanza for the city. They have visited so many places and it would be hard to calculate the economic impact but its pretty big. Plus there are 7 other teams here. And the first 2 rounds if women's BB in Norman is bringing them money but nothing like this.
As a sports fan its pretty cool to see.
